23.01.2022 Today the travelling Christmas Tree made it to Prep. We’ve stamped the passport and added presents to the bottom of it as the Preps believe this is the most important part of the tree. The tree was lucky enough to sing songs with us, look at our portfolio of work we have completed since the beginning of Prep, and read a story about Year 1 at HSS. It had a TREEmendous time in Prep

11.01.2022 Today we farewelled our long serving Groundsman of 43+ years, Eddie McIntosh. We thank him for his dedication to our school and wish him all the very best as he heads into retirement!!!

09.01.2022 Our Junior Secondary students had an awesome session today whipping up several batches of yummy, beautifully decorated biscuits!

06.01.2022 Kindness was everywhere this afternoon in the Primary cohort. We had an afternoon of sharing to end the term. Year 5/6 shared their Christmas Carols that they had learnt on the piano. Prep shared their Puppet Show that they had created in Technology. We listened to the ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘The Gingerbread Man’. Students in Year 3/4 shared a beautiful rendition of ‘Waltzing Matilda’ that they had learnt in Music this term. Year 1/2 students shared their stories that they had written in English. Learning is definitely fun at Hughenden State School!
