23.01.2022 Tonight's interviewee, Brett Lyon, has taken on the mammoth task of restoring the cyclone damaged Lion Hotel in Macknade. Saving a piece of our region's history with his own spare time and finances, it has been no easy feat for Brett and his family. Despite living in Victoria, Brett has a special connection to the region, and to the historic pub. Have a read tonight, 8pm, to find out more about the Lyons saving the Lion.



23.01.2022 This week, I chatted with Madeleine D'Urso. Madeleine is a local solicitor who is very passionate about the Hinchinbrook region and spends much of her time volunteering for various community causes. She represents the next generation of young residents who are choosing to stay after high school and make Ingham their long term home. The interview will be posted at 8pm.

The first child of the family, her parents were Norm and Florence, who were nineteen and sixteen at the time of her birth.
