24.01.2022 Following the government announcement that indoor capacity is limited to 100 people we have suspended all live music at the hotel until restrictions are lifted.... The hotel is still open for meals and drinks - at busier times we may have to limit the numbers indoors. For the time being outdoor activity is not affected. The pub choir has also suspended its weekly gathering until further notice. 11.01.2022 As you might already know, sadly Jaime Orpinas our brewer left us suddenly early July, which has caused a few headaches. Two passionate home brewers from Candelo, Pete Smith and Dave Hargraves have taken it on with some expert guidance from Wes Smith who designed the brewery. Peter and Dave started the Candelo Brew Club some years ago and featured on River Cottage Australia. The four core beers are Oceanview Draught, First Calf Pale Ale, Dr. Nott's Porter and Melon Headed Amber. Our beers are only on tap at two places, Tathra Hotel and the Sundeck Hotel (winter only) in Perisher. See you there!!

Many skiers and snowboarders enjoyed the Humpback beers on tap after a day on the slopes. All Humpback beers are only available at the Tathra Hotel on the Far South Coast, NSW. 08.01.2022 TATHRA HOTEL IS CLOSED Following the news that a patron at lunch on Sunday tested positive for Covid the hotel will be closed for a short time. NSW Health have ...been more than happy with the way the hotel has been dealing with the restrictions and have advised that we do not need to close. However, all the staff that were working on Sunday need to get tested and are not allowed back at the hotel until they have a negative test result. So the hotel is closed due to a staff shortage rather than any health orders. The hotel will be following all instructions from NSW Health in regard to cleaning and sanitisation, as we have been since reopening. We hope that all our staff and customers who get tested are given a clean bill of health. 02.01.2022 We are now selling our beer take away, in 1.89 litre growler bottles. This is approximately a 6pack of 330ml bottles. How it works: You pay $25 for the bottle and $22 for a fill. You rinse the bottle after use and return it for a refill. We replace your bottle with a chilled, sanitised bottle.... The beer will keep for over a week unopened and a few days after opening. I have beer bottles dating back to the 50's that are still being reused for home-brew. I love that bottle can last for 70 years. Reuse is back.
