23.01.2022 The 'Corona Coaster' is real... we aren't trying to get around the rules, we are asking for what makes sense. This is crippling the industry on so many levels. Under the current restrictions in regional Victoria, kids can even go to camp now! This from Victorian Dance Festival Official- VDF:... This Corona-coaster is big! We need YOUR help! After advising that dance studios fall under the Creative Studios category, and therefore are able to open sooner (last week for Regional Victorians), the government has backflipped within a number of hours. Thousands of kids, studio owners and teachers hopes have been dashed once again. In regional Victoria, kids can congregate on a playground. They can crash tackle each other on a football field. But they can't dance!!! So here’s how you can help: - Get in touch with your local MP. Say how this affects you and your dancer/s - short and long term. - Email who you can in parliament and in the media to express these affects. - Sign the petition and comment your thoughts in the comment box https://www.change.org/saveourstudios We will not stop fighting to get our students back to dance as soon as it is safe to do so. #saveourdanceschools #letusdance

16.01.2022 Please help us get back to our kids in person. We have some of the most stringent Covid procedures in place to keep both teachers and students safe. It makes no sense that kids can go to school together, go back to contact sports, play on an unsanitised playground with countless children unknown to them, but can not attend their dance class that is physically distanced, and sanitised before, during and after classes. ... This isn’t about getting around rules or trying to find loop holes. Our kids are suffering. Our businesses are suffering. Some studios will not survive. 13.01.2022 **Language warning** HFDP's!! (Hunger For Dance Parents) Who can relate!? Perhaps it's been small a blessing that we haven't had any performance opportunities yet.... Although I have a feeling that it's just going to make it 1000 times worse once they do hit the stage!!! ... The HFD team are just preparing ourselves for the moment we can see the kids in person, let alone trying to make it through any kind of performance...

09.01.2022 Hearing the giggles and laughs coming from today’s sessions has made this worth it. We couldn’t have our Saturday kids miss out on the fun we’ve been having all week! Make shift shelter and a bit of rain had not dampened these kids spirits! Even just being in pairs has boosted them! We can’t wait for next week! Hopefully not as wet
