09.01.2022 These yellow tail kingfish are absolute machines in deep water and love peeling line off light reels. Like all pelagic fish, they’re high speed predators and respond well to being speared into the water on release. Please remember guys you don’t have to keep everything you catch it’s important not to pillage the ocean. Fish is far better eaten fresh so only take what you plan to eat. Of course there are many other ways to store fish for longer, dry age, preserved and our fa...vourite is smoked but still keeping in mind that we have to pay respects to our oceans, now more then ever. Commercial fishing and bad fishing practices have left some areas in terrible condition but we can all make a difference, even if it’s small- every good decision we make will compound to create a better future. 08.01.2022 A question we get asked quite a bit is ‘where is your favourite place?’ Hard question, since we have only done the east coast so far! But I think we both agree it would have to be Cape Palmerston National Park. Isolated beaches for as far as the eye can see, reef not to far off shore and we had the whole place to ourselves! Located about 90km south of Mackay, Cape Palmerston National Park is our hidden gem.
