An article surfaced today suggesting that both the vodafone Gold Coast 600 and Coates Hire Newcastle 500 are being scrapped due to Covid. ...We do stress that in these articles there are no direct statements made by Supercars, at this point it is all speculation. Both events hold large contracts and agreements as they are permanent locations. Now, we don’t know more than the next guy, but we do know we arent about to assume events are canceled until an official statement by Supercars or City of Newcastle is made. For now, let’s cross our fingers for good news and get ready to restart the race season soon!
