Lot 189 at the Dalby ASH sale, Madonna is a very kind-going, genuine performance prospect with Cupid's lovely calm nature as can be seen here. She has spent the last 8 weeks with Leah Read and is ready to continue on with. Will make a fantastic challenge prospect! Heritage Stock Horse registered to boot

24.01.2022 We are very excited and thankful to Matt and Trina Stanger to have given us the opportunity to add Crackin Quickstep to our broodmare herd. Roanie is a novice mare and was a fantastic campdrafter in her younger years and we are very keen to see how she crosses to Cupid in the coming years.

23.01.2022 Since you’re all doing so well with the naming, this little looker is still waiting for a name as well! Carrigans Contagious (Conman) x Huonfels Dakota. Was thinking of staying with the Indian theme (Dakotas mother is Cheyenne, Cheyenne’s sire is Navaho) but open to suggestions. Was tossing around Boy Named Sioux but not sold on it yet.

22.01.2022 Huonfels Rose-Marie on her way to equal 5th in the RTA Novice draft at Brunette Downs last weekend. She had an 87 in the 1st round and nearly had a fall in the camp in the final but still put it around for an 80. Very happy with how this young mare by Cupid is going!

20.01.2022 5 snuggly beagle puppies! 2 boys, 3 girls available on the 11th of January. Will be microchipped and have their 1st vaccination. Mum and Dad are very friendly and their puppies make great kids dogs and wonderful little mates

17.01.2022 Sire: Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid - Novice campdraft horse Dam: Budgerroo Alice (Arcadia Pete x Kehls Nakita) - competitive Campdraft mare placed r...egularly. Full brother has won multiple opens and the Chinchilla Grandmother Clock Rising 3 year old gelding broken in October 2019 with steady working turning cattle out. Extremely quiet, very soft smooth travelling gelding with a natural stop and turn around. Had a 6 month spell over the wet and came back in to work like an old horse. Will suit campdrafting and challenging and with further work will suit youths as well. Would currently be ideal for a capable teenager looking to bring a young horse along. Eligible for the 2020 colt challenges and will mature approx 14.2. Will be registered prior to sale. Is currently undergoing 3-4 weeks worth with my self. Will be worked on cattle, long miles and arena work.

16.01.2022 One of our 2 year old sale horses out for his 1st ride on cattle today. Valentine is by Cupid and out of lovely Arcadia Pete mare, Budgerroo Alice. This is his 9th ride and the 1st one back after a 6 month spell. These bulls were running around a bit at the start and we ended up right under the chopper as it came down to block them up. Could have been very hairy but Valentine didn’t even blink, took it all in his stride. Very typical for this cross, Cupid and Alice produce an extremely kind natured, sensible, level headed horse and Valentine is proving to be no exception to that. Not one bit of dirt in this horse.

16.01.2022 Huonfels Rosario has grown into a beautiful type. Out of our handy old camp horse Rosheen who ran in everything from the juniors to the opens. She had quite a few 2nds but never quite cracked a win. Rosario was lovely quiet filly to break in. Contact Ashleigh Fairbrother for enquiries

Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid is loving his rug and the fit is amazing and Huonfels Rose-Marie is gearing up for her Chickenman date. In addition to Cupid taking out the Over 6 Rookie Series, I was fortunate enough to be runner-up (again!) in the Under 5 Rookie Series on Sevenangle Eve. Congratulations to Ryan Jepson on his win! 12.01.2022 We have been blessed with a fantastic season here at Huonfels, as you can see by the condition of Cupid! His 6 month holiday out with the broodmares came to an end today and he looks an absolute picture thanks to the wonderful feed we have out in the paddocks. Time to start gearing up for the start of the competition season which is now only 2 short weeks away

12.01.2022 Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid running an 87 to gate a painted beast and pick up some cash at the Camooweal campdraft a few weeks ago. This run scored a 65 horse work and he also went on to be equal 2nd in the Maiden draft as well as finalling in the Open draft with 3 full courses. Cupid also made the Open final at Brunette Downs last weekend ending up 5th in the 2nd round and 2nd in the 3rd round to place 9th overall. The big fella is running well.

Produces ...strong, solid foals with good bone and sensible natures. Red Rock Dolphin mares are very sought after for broodmares and do not come along very often. She was used as a mustering horse before I owned her. Her oldest foal by Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid was broken in earlier this year by a teenage girl and have received very good reviews back from his owners. 09.01.2022 Bittersweet to say goodbye to our beautiful filly Huonfels Madonna today but happy with the result. She sold for $5500 to Darcy Flamsteed and we’d like to wish him all the best with her. I’m sure she’ll have a big future ahead of her and look forward to seeing their results in the arena. They placed 6th in the Maiden at Einasleigh on her 2nd start and recently had a 23 cut-out at Burke and Wills. 04.01.2022 Another Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid mare who is proving to be super consistent is Huonfels Cherub, owned by Glen and Cheryl Connolly. I haven't seen her fail to get an outside score at any draft so far this year. She ran an 87 and an 81 at Mt Surprise recently as well as running off the Maiden cut off with a spectacular 24. It makes us so happy to see Cupid's foals end up in such good hands the way both Cherub and Mel B have! Both these mares were bought as unbroken 2 year olds and their owners should be proud of the way they brought them along. If you have any photos or results from your Cupid progeny we would love to see them and feature them on our page!

Meet Huonfels Chickadee I was lucky enough to win a Chickenman service fee for the Rookie Over 6 Triple Crown Challenge on Huonfels Coolcharm Cupid last year and it seemed only fitting to put his daughter (2017 Rookie U5 series runner-up) in foal to him.
