23.01.2022 Don’t leave piles of green waste near your home. Reducing the vegetation around your home is one of the most important things you can do to keep your home safe in a bushfire. https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/pla/how-to-prepare-your-property https://youtu.be/aVIsmmcCIRk
22.01.2022 Victoria is one of the most fire-prone areas in the world. Understanding your level of risk is the first step in knowing what to do before and during a fire. www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare/am-i-at-risk... The focus for next week will be on urban fringe grassfires. If you have any queries, please fell free to reach out.
22.01.2022 With all of the rain we have had and the cooler weather it is easy to forget that we are still in the declared fire danger period. This is a friendly reminder that fire restrictions are still in place. For further information about what you can and can’t do during fire restrictions please visit the below link
21.01.2022 You should never wait to receive an official warning before you leave. Fires can start quickly and threaten homes and lives within minutes. Warnings are issued when a fire has started and you need to take action.... Make sure you understand the three levels of warnings and what they mean. You may have noticed some changes to the icons on the VicEmergency website. Victoria has adopted the Australian Warning System - a new national approach to information and warnings during emergencies and natural disasters like fire, flood, severe weather, extreme heat and cyclones. Keep an eye out for the new icons on the VicEmergency app! https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/warnings-restrict/about-warnings

20.01.2022 December 14 begins the Fire Danger Period. Please make sure your burn-offs are completely put out by Sunday night.
18.01.2022 Grassfires can start anywhere and spread quickly. If a grassfire starts, walk at least two streets back from the fire. If you live two or three streets away from grassland and a grassfire starts, stay where you are. Never drive if you can see smoke or fire. Thick smoke will make it hard to see and traffic jams and accidents are likely.... Keep roads clear for emergency services.
