The younger brother of Key Senior Recruit Jack Stewart, is really making a name for himself on the park Pre-Christmas. The 17 year old midfielder x running half back is a strong contested ball winner and creates great space using disciplined running patterns, a very coachable player. 24.01.2022 The week just isn't over yet as we get another signature in the books. HFNC relish the return of Senior Ruckman and budding Barista Jamie Smith. Better known as 205 amongst the playing group, Jamie has enjoyed a career best season in 2019 finishing 5th in the Club Best and Fairest. 24.01.2022 The coaching staff have been busy this week we've got another one onboard! HFNC are wrapped to welcome back Key Defender Mitch Hymus in 2021. Well known for his raking right boot Hymo really cemented his role down back last season shutting down some of the League's most talented forwards. He finished 2019 Equal 2nd in the Club Best and Fairest and we cant wait to see what he brings in 2021

24.01.2022 Happy Friday Hurstbridge we continue a great week on paper with the re-signing of gun recruit Jack Stewart. Although yet to debut in the Navy and Gold Stewy showed great promise throughout the preseason proving to be a contributing forward and also ran an excellent 2k time. Will remain VFL listed in 2021 but look forward to seeing him line up with us when available

23.01.2022 To All Sponsors, Members, Supporters and Players, Throughout this Corona virus pandemic, the Hurstbridge Football and Netball club have maintained the position of putting our players and members safety & health first, this includes our committee. We cannot hold draws at the club or anywhere else without breaking current stage 4 restrictions, therefore we have decided to postpone Bridgelotto draws for the next 5 weeks.... Tonight was the final draw for 2019/20. Next week will be the start of the new season for Bridgelotto. We have spoken to the Victoria Commission for Gaming Regulations and they are amending our minor gaming permit to be able to continue to direct debit payment for players, and when restrictions ease, we will be doing 5 draws in a night to make up for those weeks we are in lockdown. This has been a very difficult decision by the club, and we appreciate your support and understanding through this time. Rizza is a pacey midfielder with the ability to rotate into defence, known to cause dramas for opponents with his quick first step and cat-like agility. 23.01.2022 CALL TO ARMS Our Junior Club Needs Volunteers!!! Established in 1914, the Hurstbridge Football & Netball Club has a rich history, having won a total of 10 Senior & 16 Junior Premierships. We have over 50 life members, highlighting the commitment of the locals to the club and 160 junior members.... We have been based at the Ben Frilay Oval since 1922 and play a significant role in bringing the Hurstbridge community together. Over the last few years we have put a significant amount of investment into our club holding specialist coaching clinics, the SALT program for our girls teams, The REACH foundation to facilitate youth programs, running clinics, first aid courses...the list goes on The originality, tenacity, attitude and community spirit is what makes this club so special. Hurstbridge has a reputation of fairness, equality and inclusion and is now at risk of folding due to the lack of parent volunteers, in particular from the under 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 age groups. Coaches are locked in, all we need is you. We can all make excuses.....I work, I have 1,2,3,4 kids, I'm too busy - but what would you say when the club collapses and who can you blame? A member of the u19s Leadership group in 2019, Aydos proved to be a great candidate always leading from the front. Another of our young bloods to feature in all 3 sides in 2019 including 2 Senior games, Aydos is a very coachable footballer with great potential and look forward to seeing him develop further

Beast really found his feet in 2019 and matured as a player, cementing his spot in the senior side toward the end of the season. Tyza has become a key piece in the clubs backline since crossing from DC back in 2015. A legitimate asset to our Senior Squads scoring arsenal, Coop really showed the league what he was capable of last season finishing with 30 majors from 16 games. Well and truly considered a ball magnet among the playing group also armed with great football IQ Mitchy has an uncanny ability to create play where there was none. This longtime Ruckman found a new home in defence in 2019 fast becoming a nightmare for Forwards due to his extreme length. A prototypical swing man with a great set of hands Tommy returns to us after a brief stopover in The EFL with Warrandyte Football Club where he kicked 17 majors. 16.01.2022 HFNC are pleased to announce that we will be returning to training next week on Monday 30th November. We will be training on the bottom oval at 6pm on Mondays and Thursdays leading up to Christmas. COVID safety protocols will apply: 1. Bring your own drink bottle and towel.... 2. Massages are out. 3. Training will be non-contact for the remainder of the year. 4. Taping will need to be done yourselves. 5. Contact tracing scanning/sign in required prior to training. 6. As usual, RUNNERS ONLY strictly NO BOOTS For contact tracing we will be using the 1Breadcrumb application available at your app store so please download and sign up prior to your arrival. Lastly our Annual General Meeting will be held outside the Clubrooms at 7pm following training on Monday and would like to encourage all players and supporters to attend. Footys back

14.01.2022 Good Morning Hurstbridge we hope everyone enjoyed their Melbourne Cup Weekend. While some were celebrating others were deep in contract negotiations. HFNC are wrapped to announce that we have secured the services of back flanker Callum Cook for 2021. 2019 was an interesting season for Chef, opening the year in red hot form collecting votes in 4 of his first 5 appearances with the Senior Squad. Known as beautiful ball user with great spacial awareness Chef was unfortunately h...it with injury early in the season. When manageable it would see him play only a handful more games with the Development Squad for the remainder of the season, where despite injury he was still able to cook up a storm. The 24 year old has shown growth in every season since crossing from rival Montmorency at the end of 2016 and we look forward to seeing him bounce back in 2021 Welcome back Chef

09.01.2022 On the back of good news only 2 weeks ago the papers have started pushing. We are wrapped to announce our first player signature for 2021 will be none other than Senior Captain Lachlan East. 2019 was a great year for our young Skipper being selected to play in the League Representative Squad (17,18,19), taking out his 2nd (and back2back) Best and Fairest aswell as being named in the Division 1 Team of the Year. Well known for his authority across the backline and strength i...n the air we trust our boys are in good hands. New to Hurstbridge in 2019 Maxy seriously proved himself throughout the season, an impressive combination of speed and size with the ability to matchup on any sized forward made him an absolute asset to this side. Really earnt his Leadership Group selection in 2019 and again in 2020 with great voice on the paddock and intensity to match.... Welcome back Maxy

05.01.2022 On the back of the announcement of a return to training date HFNC are happy to announce the re-signing of young gun Cooper Barbera. The Northern Knights Wingman made the most of his opportunities in the Navy&Gold in 2019 appearing in 4 matches, kicking bags of 4 and 3 on occasions while collecting votes in those games. Renowned for his great goal sense as a midfielder we look forward to seeing Cooper's growth as he adds size and matures further as a footballer. Welcome back Coop
