22.01.2022 Pictures taken at our April 27th meeting wherein we were very privileged to receive a contingent from the Wesley Collegians Lodge 358VC (Victorian Constitution). By all accounts the visitors had a most enjoyable time especially as the work for the evening was education related and saw the brethren researching topics from the 2nd degree. Hutchins Old Boys Lodge 48TC thanks those members of the Wesley Collegians 358VC for their visit, and sincerely hopes that some of our own brethren will return the favour in the coming years.

19.01.2022 For our April meeting The Hutchins Old Boys Lodge was very proud to initiate Bro. Pip Foweraker. The ceremony went immensely well, and all had the most excellent of nights. Wor. Bro. Cooke wishes to thank all those who visited along with the members of the lodge who provided thoroughly sterling work on the night. We heartily look forward to many years of working with Bro. Foweraker with brotherly, relief and truth. Welcome Pip.

16.01.2022 Pictures taken at our March 23rd meeting wherein we conducted a second degree for Bro. Tristan Latta from Lodge Esk 60TC. The WM of Lodge Esk 60TC, Wor. Bro. Darren Latta, is his father who conducted the obligation while his brother Bro. Baden Latta, a Master Mason, conducted the Let Me Add. All work conducted by Lodge Esk 60TC members was first rate, and by all accounts: a sincere pleasure to witness by all. Hutchins Old Boys Lodge 48TC wishes Bro. Tristan Latta and his family, both masonic and non-masonic, all the best for the coming years.

06.01.2022 The Hutchins Old Boys Lodge in conjunction with The Hutchins School were proud to host a most excellent evening at the commencement dinner held annually to signal the continuance of the Hutchins Lodge masonic year which takes a hiatus over the December and January months in-line with school holidays. The occasion was held on Tuesday the 31st of January and was immensely enjoyed by all. We would like to thank the school, the new headmaster Dr. Rob McEwan, and Jenna director of... events planning along with select members of the prospective year 12 students for the attention detail and truly wonderful event that it was. Our eternal thanks for everything. As always, our Wor. Master, Wor. Bro. Alvin Cooke, we would like mention was also a headmaster during his working life, and enjoyed thoroughly the occasion: he expresses his gratitude and thanks for all the brethren, the continued great relationship with The Hutchins School and their families for attending the night. We all look forward to seeing you there again next year.

03.01.2022 For our first working night for the year we were delighted to be delivered the first degree tracing board given by our Wor. Master, Wor. Bro. Alvin Cooke. It was the consensus of all brethren who attended that this was likely the best recital or this charge we have ever witnessed. The presentation was accompanied by a very interesting slide show by way of digital projector which projected images pertinent to each part of the charge as, and when, Wor. Bro. Cooke spoke them. Th...e magnificence of the night did not stop there however, as the master and the junior steward (head chef at a prominent Hobart fine dining estate) wherein we sample some of Australia's best wine and cheese at our inaugural wine and cheese night. Additionally, the brethren were thrilled to see the attendance of three prospective members on this occasion, and heartily look forward to their first steps in Freemasonry being taken over the coming months.

02.01.2022 For our March meeting we were honoured to host the Second Degree of Bro. J Newell from Lake Lodge in the states' North. Lake Lodge's master Wor. Bro. D Latta took charge of the lodge for the occasion while the members of Hutchins Old Boys Lodge conducted the work. It was the consensus that the evening's work was extremely well delivered, and Bro. Newell himself was in fine form. Hutchins Old Boys Lodge thanks Lake Lodge, Wor. Bro. Latta and Bro. Newell for the opportunity to ...conduct the excellent night that it was. Additionally, The Hutchins Old Boys Lodge was extremely proud, and honoured, to witness the presentation of Right Wor. Bro. J Millington's 60 year bar. This was presented by Right Wor. Bro. E Cummins, Past Deputy Grand Master from The Grand Lodge of Tasmania. Right Wor. Bro. Millington has had a long, proud and very involved history with the lodge, The Hutchins School and The Grand Lodge of Tasmania that has seen him be an outstanding sportsman for the school, a much celebrated teacher at the school for several decades, a Grand Organist for The Grand Lodge of Tasmania as well as being the organist for close to 2 dozen lodges during his 60 year masonic career. The Hutchins Old Boys Lodge wishes Right Wor. Bro. Millington all the very best for the coming future, and sincerely looks forward to many more years with Right Wor. Bro. Millington's music and presence filling the temple and the South hall.
