25.01.2022 What an awesome day at Gin Gin, with the AMA Hinterland Enduro Junior Development Club. Lots of our local club members having a ride. Loads of fun, well organized, friendly atmosphere and a big thanks to the organizers, their families and their volunteers. Recommended to anybody who loves off road racing.

22.01.2022 Trail Riders Fraser Coast has just made a $500 donation to the Hinterland Junior Enduro Club towards there soon to be purchased timing system. From all the girls and guys who have ridden with us as a club and purchased raffle tickets and club merchandise thank you. Also a big thank you to those Business's who support our club. Our next helping hand will be to a local person who has sustained a serious dirt bike injury so let us know if there is a local who we can assist. cheers Trail Riders Fraser Coast.

22.01.2022 Imbil / Amamoor Club ride Sat 15th Aug 2020 8.30am ride away. Be early not late please. AMA in date license required and needs to be presented at sign on. Camping is available both Fri and Sat nights at the show grounds. Book yourself in 0488566131. Leaving from the Imbil show grounds Edward St 8.30am sharp. This is a 6 hr ride approx. 110klm day. Carry fuel if your bike will not do 110klm, bring Lunch and snacks. Would expect to be back at cars approx. 3pm all going well.... Trails very from tight technical to open faster sections with challenges being HILLS, gully’s, more HILLS & a few logs, but mostly your fitness as this is a long and challenging day on the bike and you need to be bike fit!!. Need to bring YOUR OWN tools, spare tube and Tyre changing gear including a pump. Not recommended for novice riders or unreliable bikes. Start your bike as you load it is always a good idea. Thanks also to the Bike and Brew for the Demo 2020 KTM 350 exc which a few guys had a blast on. Thanks to all the helpers on the day. Next club event is Sept 28-29 at Glen Echo.

19.01.2022 Hi Guys, As a club it was suggested yesterday by Jordan Smith, with other club members more than happy to Donate $500 to the 'Hinterland Junior Enduro club' towards their new and upcoming electronic timing system. If we can all pick up and PAY for our recently ordered club shirts please so this donation can proceed ASAP. The shirt order was just over $700 which has been paid, cleaning out our club funds so we need to recoup this money asap.... cheers PeterN

16.01.2022 Local club ride for up to 10 shortly in the Takura area. Steve will run one after a little rain so keep a look out here. We will be doing a club Mx Mntn ride / camping weekend also possibly June 20-21 (just in time for winter) so again keep an eye here for dates.

15.01.2022 Just a quick update on the work our sub committee has been doing for Takura. We have now signed off on the new MOU with the Parks and Wildlife Dept. for our 30 klm of legal single lane trails. We are currently finalising a new skills training area where logs and stumps will be used and our aim is to have this finished in the next 3 to 6 months. A big thanks to Horne's Haulage and Alan Morrison Excavations.... Hopefully trails based riders will step up and form a Trails Club in the area and verbally the Parks and Wildlife Dept will allow conditionally registered motorcycles into this area. Next the Parks and Wildlife Dept have said they will back a trail where a 14+ year old can obtain a Conditional Licence and ride a Conditionally Registered Motorcycle while accompanied by a Open Licenced rider. Our Local MP upon seeing our proposal will present this to the Qld Transport Minister for consideration. Trail Riders Fraser Coast proud to be part of the AMA family. 13.01.2022 Ok it's time, over the last 3 years of being involved with the H.E.J.D.C there has been several members that put their hands up and volunteer to run our events,...helping out every time so that these events run smoothly and this help has always been outstanding and greatly appreciated. But now we have to step up a notch to run our next event and we are asking all our members to come and support there club. Our next event the Hard Enduro will be run as a fundraiser for our club as a Annual Event each year to make this successful we need helpers on the day so please support the people that have been supporting you. We will need help in the following areas: *Help setting up tents, tables, bunting etc on Saturday *Someone to man the entry to take the $10 camping fee and fill in the COVID register. *Help finishing off arrows and bunting on the track on Saturday and pulling it all down on Sunday afternoon. *Help at the registration desk *Helping in the canteen (cooking, serving etc) for breakfast as well as lunch *Sweep riders to ride the track *Officials to help ‘stuck’ riders on the track *Officials to be positioned at where the tracks split for different levels *Helpers to give ‘COVID’ cleans to the toilets every hour And others we’ll think of later! 10.01.2022 Update from today's working bee at Takura. We got 14 guys and 1 young lady :) turn up so many hands make light work and we were finished within 2 hours. After a club briefing we broke up into 2 groups and headed in opposite directions around loop 1 until we met around the lookout then made our way back to the cars in 1 group. Shortly after we got back Steve from Parks and Wildlife turned up and and was most happy with the turnout. He briefed us as to what the Department can ...do with the area, our club and the MTB club. We have asked for 3 to 4 guys too form a sub committee solely for the development of Takura trail network but at the meeting no one put there hand up to help. This afternoon after talking with Steve Robb he put his name forward as the first member of the sub committee so we now need 2 or 3 more. Meetings can be via Skype so location does not matter and I would expect about 90mins per week is all that would need to be given initially by these committee people. What needs to be done: 1. 2 to 3 more committee members. 2. Negotiate Usage agreement with Parks and sign off. 3. Contact trails riders in the area to help design skills area. 4. Buy logs and stumps, clear allocated area with machinery, move logs, finish skills area. (most of this is underway). 5. Negotiate with Parks to allow conditional Rego bikes into the area (riders will need to be licensed). Today in discussions this seamed as though they would support this. 6. With the above point 5 approved work with our MP Bruce Saunders towards learner licenses for youth 14+ years old (while accompanied by a open license holder) to be licensed to ride these conditionally registered motorcycles at Takura. Have a think put your name forward to help out!!!

07.01.2022 Just a reminder when at Takura ensure you are registered and licenced and obey all signage. There are camera's throughout the area which are being monitored. If you see muppets on mx bikes tell them to not come back otherwise we will all loose this ride area. 4x4's continue to destroy our trails so if you see them in there get a photo to us so we can pass it onto the Forrest. A working bee will be organised there shortly so come and lend a hand for a few hours.
