20.01.2022 For women and children who leave violent relationships at Christmas, it can mean no decorations, no special meal and a real sense of loss. This week we are gathering hamper items to spark some celebration and to bring joy into this type of situation. Table top Christmas trees, mini decorations and little Christmas puddings are our focus for this week. (NB Puddings must be pre-packaged, not home made) Let us know how you go with these!

19.01.2022 Only 3 more weeks to go of collecting for our DV Connect hampers. Our goal this week is to collect 35 boxes of chocolates, and 35 boxes of fudge. Please avoid nuts if possible and remember you can drop to the Church office in Ormeau on Sunday or during regular business hours. Thanks ladies!

18.01.2022 Can you believe it's just over 6 weeks until Christmas? For many women though, this time of year actually becomes quite dangerous. There are many women who seek refuge from violent domestic situations, and oftentimes this affects children as well. This year as a collective group of BRAVE women, we are compiling hampers for some of these women to show them that they are loved, and that they matter. There are many ways that YOU can help! You can help by: - collecting items fo...r hampers (stay tuned for our weekly posts), - putting the finished hampers together in a few weeks time, - donating funds at the gotcha back page (http://gotchaback.com.au/ give via the Dear Santa appeal and mark your donation DV Connect), - praying for peace and protection for women and children at risk, - share our posts with your friends and invite people to get involved. This week our Christmas hampers for women and children impacted by DV are focussing on items designed to bring a little bit of luxury and pampering into a tough time. We are looking to add body washes and lotions, loofahs and face masks to the hampers. Check out the pics below for some inspiration and if you find any deals be sure to share!
