18.01.2022 This is a picture of my second born Isla Rose Ford, now lovingly known as "Rosie". This is in honor of her 3rd Bday on Monday. I was lucky enough to find Hypnobirthing before my first baby Grace. And my first birth was calm and loving. With Rose we took it to another level. My second birth was fun, joyful, fast, super laid back and pain free. We were even able to have a water birth. I have never felt so connected to another being as I do to my 2 daughters. I was able to bond ...right away. Both girls commando crawled to the breast to feed. We have this bond that is truly life changing and unbreakable. Both girls are allergy free, sleep well and are super healthy. But I do want to mention that I practiced....I practiced my pretty little pregnant body off!!! I practiced HypnoBirthing breathing, listened to my hypnosis and affirmations daily for about 5 months each. It was ingrained in my head BOTH times. Nothing could change my mind set. I always say...in anything worth while, work, life, birth relationships; it takes hard work and planning. They need to tick these boxes...1.Are you both on the same team 2. Do you both have the same intentions 3.Do you both understand the birth plan 4.Is this person calm under pressure 5. Does this person understand your rights, beliefs and desires 6. Does this person have the ability to focus on just you and your baby ...for the time that it takes 7. Do you trust this person to make decisions on your behalf ??? Mama's to be...this does not have to be your husband or wife. Most people naturally think that this HAS to be your partner, but it doesn't.They can still be a MASSIVE part of your birth doing the things that they are naturally good at. DEAR DEAR WOMEN... We have one thing in common...BIRTH I have been a bit silent over the last few weeks thinking what I TRULY want my voice to be in the world. Ther...e are so many things that I have become passionate about over my lifetime. So many things that I have chosen to study. But, the one thing that I feel is the catalyst for the most change, in my eyes, is BIRTH. I have done a hundred psychology courses, life changing courses, certifications and self help courses in my life to develop my grasp on myself and people in general. The one thing that EVERYONE goes back to is BIRTH. Whether it's how you GAVE birth, how you SEE birth, how you WANT birth, how you RESEARCH birth, how birth effected/affected you, how you PERCEIVE birth or how you VISUALISE birth...at the end of the day...It is where we all started. In 2017 I want to break all barriers in Birthing. I want a calm, joyful, loving story for all women to be able to pass down to their daughters...and sons. I would also love to make sure ALL women in ANY kind of medical situation could still be educated enough to be satisfied with the outcome of her birth. I want NO woman to feel robbed, bamboozled, in the dark or traumatised by birthing their baby. I want no woman to go into birthing without sheer joy and excitement.
