24.01.2022 How are you spending this rainy day? Among the foggy mountains, muddy puddles and tank filling downpours I'm doing a shed clean out and baking.

22.01.2022 After my last engagement failed from years of emotional and physical abuse mixed with constant lies and cheating the thought of marriage would make me throw up a little! I was always hoovered back with compliments to lower my guard when I'd try and leave or move on. I made excuses for the abuse and ignored my intuition allowing his slip ups and sacrificing my own happiness and health to stay in a relationship where I was never loved. The engagement was never going to end in m...arriage it was just an act to ensure I gave him everything he wanted and needed. Excuse me, if you're rolling your eyes as if to say 'get over it.' This is my history, I was a victim and it's awful to still feel ashamed and embarrassed that this is my history; I was engaged but it didn't work out on his account, not mine. I'm allowed to talk about this stuff because it happened to me and it's shaped who I am today. It does not mean I miss him or care for him or think about him... it's my past and that cannot be changed. I was engaged to the ex who constantly demanded me to give up everything in order to be his nothing... What a blessing that turned out to be and the fact that even after going through indescribable heart break and abuse I could not be beaten or broken, I rose up and continued to find the joy and love in my life. In two weeks I will be marrying the person who is so right for me in every single way. Planning this wedding has seen some triggers surface but my Zac has reassured me through every single one. Zac has stood unfailing by my side while I had to detail every abuse account to get a DVO. He has toiled with me through an emotional legal battle, still continuing to this day, to get my belongings and a dog back that is microchipped in my name and I paid for. Zac has held my hand and comforted me through the overwhelming injustice of it all and the trauma I suffer. Here I am 'Doing a Thing' getting married to my end game in a budget of $2000. Make wedding favours, paying celebrants, finalising photography details and organising decorations and not having to worry it is all going to be ripped away. Love truly does conquer all

22.01.2022 Created this book gift box pack as father's Day gifts for my Dad and Bonus Dad... I hate the term 'step parent' and 'in-laws' to me it's all Bonus because they add value, support to my life and I'm a better person for having them in my life. I hope everyone has a wonderful day celebrating in a way the suits their family unit. I will be working and then having a roll at lawn bowls with family and Zac who is an amazing bonus Dad and almost halfway to being a Dad to his very own little one My thoughts are with those who find celebrating days like tomorrow a struggle due to loss, abuse, distance, neglect, separation and absence.

21.01.2022 Damper in the camp oven was a success , I have a great sense of accomplishment because I don't do these types of things. The damper is delicious and makes for a good morning tea. Recipe I used: 3 cups of SR flour Almost a bottle of beer... Coals on the bottom and top of camp oven and cooked it for about an hr and a half... Next to try is damper on a stick with the kids. Simple and fun.

20.01.2022 I did a thing... First stop was PYO - pick your own strawberries. Then went for a drive to the most breathtaking place I think in SE QLD Maleny and Montville. As an adult this is the first time I've explored the area and I'm already planning some time away to stay a few days, it is absolutely stunning.... Highly recommend spending a day at Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World... My sons dreams came true holding a Macaw, it really was Parrot-dise and we loved the few hours spent at bird world. Maleny Botanic Gardens thanks for a fun filled day, memories and smiles.

15.01.2022 I absolutely love this product by Nad's . It's the best way to DIY hair removal if you're on a budget, trying to save money, or can't make it to your regular beautician. I am impatient and uncoordinated with no attention to detail... With this sugar wax you can't go wrong, it washes off with warm water. So easy even I can do it!! My before shot was about 6 weeks from when I last used this product. It's winter so my hair growth game on the parts of my body constantly covered ...in warm layers is strong Thank goodness my partner...soon to be husband doesn't mind the extra body hair. He even cut up extra calico strips for me to use for the sugar wax, now that is true love Quick, easy, well priced, effective hair removal...this is definitely the one product you want to buy and have among your beauty products in your bathroom.

08.01.2022 Stocked up on feed for the animals this morning at Cottone's Hay & Feed Shed...great service and prices. Haven't moved far from the campoven since getting back home cooking gluten free damper for morning tea for my Mum, Dad and Grandad complimented with some Billy tea. Now cooking away are lamb shanks (a first for me) and the popular craze at the moment potato bake in a pumpkin. Fingers crossed we have some deliciousness served up for our 2nd round of guests tonight ... Lots of firsts for I did a thing HQ

06.01.2022 I'm a busy full time worker and have kids to get to and from school, on top of living out of town, life can be hectic and tending to appointments can get overwhelming with a lack of time and I don't book or get things done. Recently the stress was completely taken out of getting my car serviced, which was months overdue, by contacting MJN Mobile Mechanic. Excellent local service coming to me and totally affordable.
