25.01.2022 Pepsi withdrew its ad buy from the recent US Super Bowl for the first time in 23 years. Instead, it chose to direct its money and attention to a new campaign called the Pepsi Refresh Project, which provides grants for positive social change initiatives. It all sounds good but is it the real deal? Check out our "Discuss...ions" page (see above tab) and add your thoughts...

22.01.2022 Interesting interview with consultant and marketing expert Carol Phillips. In her opinion Gen Y cares about efficiency, making a difference and creativity. As a result Gen Y are more likely to support companies that they see as being authentic and meaningful. She also makes some interesting comments about Gen Y's engagement with spirituality. Have a read and let us know your thoughts...

20.01.2022 Well worth watching this video... Why lie when you can teleport? Not a great example of a company doing "good" but it's very clever marketing!

13.01.2022 Brilliant article by Umair Haque. Corporate success no longer lies in going from good to great, but rather in going from great to good. Haque comments that while the Pepsi Refresh Project is a nice example of a company doing good, at the end of the day they are still selling sugary water!

12.01.2022 Wondering how Nike has gone from being the epitome of corporate evil to a shining example of corporate responsibility? This article explains how it happened...

10.01.2022 A selection of companies from around the world who are "doing good".

08.01.2022 Companies throughout the world are realising that "doing good" & "doing well" are fast becoming the same thing. Yet many Aussie companies are still engaging in tokenistic & inauthentic forms of corporate social responsibility. How can we convince them to change their ways & catch up with the rest of the world?

05.01.2022 A recent survey has found that US consumers prefer socially responsible brands & are even willing to pay more for them. Two problems that exist: 1) many consumer are uncertain of what it means for a company to be "socially responsible"; 2) many companies are failing to communicate their socially responsible work to consumers. Do you think similar attitudes (and problems) exist in Australia?

03.01.2022 Ben & Jerry's continues to lead the way. It is now the first ice-cream brand in the world to commit to becoming entirely Fairtrade. You can read the article here...

02.01.2022 Westpac has been named as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies in an annual survey by the Ethisphere Institute. Westpac is the only Australian company represented on the list, which is great for Westpac but quite concerning for the state of "good business" in Australia. It seems Australian companies have some work to do to catch up with the rest of the world!

01.01.2022 The recently released 100 Best Corporate Citizens List shows that more of the world's biggest companies are making an effort to "do good". Tech giants HP, Intel and IBM are leading the way. Coke & Pepsi not far behind.
