17.01.2022 Yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting Janaya Phillips and her son Jaelen with food and fuel vouchers from funds raised during Convoy. The last few months have been difficult for us to get stories out about people Convoy is supporting due to Covid-19, as many patients have very low immune systems, susceptible to infections. Read Janaya's full story here: https://illawarraconvoy.com.au/janayas-support-from-convoy Since January Convoy has supported over 50 local families w...ith food and fuel vouchers, pharmacy accounts, medical equipment and more in addition to funding major upgrade projects at Wollongong Hospital Kids ward, supporting Illawarra Cancer Carers and Leukaemia Foundation's patient transport program, funding the restock of the Illawarra Wig Library's wigs for cancer patients and new vehciles for Illawarra Cancer Carers. We are unsure what affect Covid-19 will have on Convoy this year, but rest assured our support for patients and families affected by potentially life threatening medical conditions and local charities will not stop. Our funding is available at any time of the year with no end date, with the funding committee meeting monthly to view and award funds/support. See more
