Being a technical fighter and at a lighter weight category, ive always wanted to show how you can dominate in a fight without having to use your power. Here i faint with a jab and see that my opponent raises his lead leg slightly. After that I faint again drawing the same reaction out of him and go for the sweep. ... Recognizing patterns from your opponent and using them to your advantage is key when you are facing someone who may be stronger than you. 11.01.2022 Posted @withrepost @mattlucasbkk Ibrahim Abou Saleh After winning a couple fights in Sydney I fought at the NSW state championship and got first place, from there I went on to competing at the National Championships in Queensland where I also got first place and after that I got selected to represent Australia in the IFMA world games. I had a tough draw at IFMA where i drew Thailand in the first round, however when it was time to fight he didnt show up and I won... by walkover. My second fight was against a tough fighter from Russia, it was a very close fight after winning the first round I started to fatigue in the later rounds and didnt get the win this time. Fighting at IFMA was a real eye opener since the fighting style there was very different than back home at Sydney, it was very fast paced and all about volume. Fighting out of PTJ in Sydney Australia, Salehwas put into karate when he was young. He switched to Muay Thai when he was 13. 08.01.2022 This deserved a separate post! Quick story: About two and a half years ago i lost my first fight in Sydney and was devastated so i took a 9 month break. While i was being a lazy uni student, i had the tv on and saw that @rebellion_muaythai was on Fox sport. As it started i saw a young man walk in, dancing around with the crowd, the MC and even with his opponent. I was already a fan at this point. As the fight started he displayed amazing skills, high fight IQ and just an all... round entertaining and respectful fighter. You couldnt not like him. As the fight was finishing I realized i had ate all the snacks in the house. I was truly amazed and inspired about his performance thinking to myself: Damn! I wish i can fight on that show one day its on tv, we are both 59kgs i could even fight him; it would be awesome !. This thought quickly came to an end and would never become a reality as i realized that it was a tribute to Jordan. After i watched that fight, i got my training gear ready and went back to training working towards one goal; fight on Rebellion. Last night as I received the Jordan Coe Fighter of the Night Award, all of what I mentioned came through my mind. Eventhough i never got the chance to meet you, let alone fight you. I still want to thank you for inspiring me to go back to training and fighting on a high level. Thanks @deachkalek_sorsumalee. Started off well knocking him down in the second, then fatigue a bit in the fourth round, then finished strong after some words of encouragement ....
