If ...you've got a MIG machine, you can do both. How? Just change your wire spool. Your normal MIG weld is usually done with gas, but you can swap over to a flux core wire and ditch the gas cylinder. Flux core wire works the same way as a stick electrode, and leaves a protective coating on the final weld to keep it safe.
