16.01.2022 Great news from Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP this morning ahead of the Easter long weekend. No confirmed Covid 19 cases in the Gladstone Region and only 1 n...ew case in Queensland overnight linked to the second Brisbane cluster (Byron Bay) and still no unlinked community transmission in Queensland. The Greater Brisbane lockdown will finish at 12pm today however some restrictions will remain in place to ensure the safety of all Queenslanders including the conditions around wearing masks. Please download the Check In Queensland App and ensure you check in when visiting cafes, restaurants, hotels, Council offices and venues. Gladstone Harbour Festival will proceed as planned tonight. Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race will proceed as planned at 12pm on Good Friday and live streamed from 11am. At this stage the Brisbane to Gladstone Village Line Crossing Party will proceed as planned on Easter Sunday, however that will be reviewed again today. I will provide an update again later this afternoon at approximately 4pm.

13.01.2022 ADVICE FROM THE CHIEF HEALTH OFFICER FOR PEOPLE IN GLADSTONE WHO HAVE BEEN TO THE GREATER BRISBANE REGION SINCE 2 JANUARY: If you have been to the Greater Bris...bane area since 2 January you should self-isolate in your home for for three days from 6pm Friday, 8 January until 6pm Monday, 11 January. You will be required to stay at home except for the following reasons: - Shopping for essentials, food and necessary supplies - Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements - Exercise with no more than one other person, unless all from the same household - Providing care or assistance to an immediate family member - Work, or volunteering, or study if it is not reasonably practicable to work or learn remotely - Child custody arrangements - Legal obligations - Visit for end of life - Attend funeral or wedding in line with restrictions When leaving the house for any of the above reasons, you must wear a mask. And, as always, if you have any symptoms come forward and get tested immediately.
