25.01.2022 Here at #indigenousculturaladventures, weve always enjoyed playing with flavours - native bush tomatoes, native Pepperberry, roasted wattle seed, and sweet elements like Lilly Pilly, quandong and finger lime. So combining those flavours and producing traditional southern Italian dishes with a Bush Tucka twist is a no-brainer for us and the team at @AnticaCarcoar. We spent an afternoon at Angullong Wines in t...he village of Millthorpe where we were Welcomed to Country in the Native Wiradjuri language, taught about the Indigenous People of this land through dance, and sipped on local wines from Angullong while enjoying some "Bush tucka". This will be an e...legant five-course First Nation Australian bush tucker and wild-style southern Italian inspired dining experience held on Saturday 4 April in collaboration with our friends from Indigenous Cultural Adventures. Tickets are $110 per person and include a 3-flight wine tasting of organic & preservative-free wines using southern Italian techniques by local winemaker Antonio D'Onise of Antonio's. We are also REALLY thrilled to be welcoming the Wiradjuri Milan Dhiiyaan cultural performance group to Carcoar for the event. Our guests will take a pause during lunch to wander down to the beautiful Belubula River to soak up a significant cultural event: this will be the first time Wiradjuri dancers have held corroboree (sacred ceremony) on this site since the first European settlers arrived in 1821. 01.01.2022 We have been so excited about our Ancient Southern Lands event coming up on Saturday 4 April. First Nation #bushtucka meeting southern wild style cuisine in an amazing collaboration? Yes please!!! Unfortunately, events have overtaken us. We are concerned about the wellbeing of our 70 plus guests and the residents of the village of Carcoar. So, together with @anticaaustralis weve taken the very tough decision to postpone our event to Saturday 10 October which will coincide with the Orange Wine Festival.
