23.01.2022 Community Statement Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) acknowledges the miscommunication of a recent call for a voluntary position within its team and is greatly sadden...ed by the public response this has received. IHA is a not-for-profit community-based organisation with a mission to lead, develop and promote the sport of ice hockey in Australia. We are a volunteer run organisation, with the exception of one paid administrator. At IHA, we welcome feedback in all forms from members of the community, however we will not stand for disrespectful comments made directly to our volunteers. In Australia, ice hockey is a modest sport that thrives on the enormous efforts of its volunteers through their love of the sport. We value the efforts, generosity, skills, and expertise our volunteers provide that allows us to grow the sport, from its grass roots to national level. We will continue to build our sport and thank the wider community for its ongoing support.

23.01.2022 Dear Members, We've kept a close ear to Queensland Health over the past days and the news is generally good. Coupled with the fact that Iceworld continue to do a terrific job of sanitizing, and there are no reported Covid cases in anyone who has attended Iceworld, we've decided to return to ice hockey as of this Thursday 6 August. Training and games will go ahead as of this date, but we won't be able to allow spectators. We would like to remind everyone that the risk has no...t been eliminated. We all need to continue doing the right things in regards to handwashing, social distancing and following the direction of Iceworld staff. If you or anyone you are close to is feeling ill, please seek medical advice and stay away from the rink. Stay safe, don't congregate. IHQ Executive Team

Being mindful of just how often you touch your face throughout the day. 2. Identify your own face-touching triggers. 3. Find other behaviours to redirect yourself to. 4. Keep in mind not touching your face is only one way to protect yourself.... Thank you for your cooperation. See more
