25.01.2022 Every Thursday morning our pools are emptied and cleaned. Depending on the weather and the tides, we aim to open the pool up to the public once it's refilled. 05.01.2022 Recently, Siobhan O'Toole, one of our swim members, was presented with her Westfield Local Hero 2020 award. This award is voted by the public, and recognises people who make a positive impact on the community and environment. The Westfield Local Hero program has awarded a $10,000 grant to St Vincent's Hospital for the Cancer Exercise 'Prehab' program. Knowing first-hand how exercise can benefit the treatment and recovery of cancer patients, Siobhan has dedicated herself to ra...ising funds for the cause. 03.01.2022 Here at Icebergs, many of us have witnessed the heroic efforts of our valued member, Siobhan OToole, and were proud to announce that Siobhan has been nominated as a Westfield Local Hero. This recognition and awards program celebrates individuals whove made a positive impact in their local community or environment. Through her commitment to fundraising efforts, Siobhan has raised much-needed funds for the pilot Cancer Exercise Prehab program at St Vincents Hospital i...n Sydney. The program needs $120,000 a year to treat 150-200 patients. As a nominee, Siobhan now needs your votes to help secure a $10,000 grant for St Vincents Hospital who will use the funds to develop an online exercise program so cancer patients can work out in a COVID safe environment at home.
