25.01.2022 Using Skype for Business, Anglicare Victoria is able to monitor how their users have adopted the technology. Theyve obviously seen usage of the enterprise voice capability that replaced their ageing PABX system, but their users have across the board begun to extensively use the video conferencing, instant messaging, and screen sharing capabilities to allow them to truly collaborate. As well, with so many remote sites, and front line workers, the ability to be fully contactable via the system on their assigned number makes their workdays so much more efficient and effective. 21.01.2022 Adoption champions were key to ensuring the wholesale adoption of Skype For Business across Anglicare Victorias 35+ sites. 21.01.2022 Get around and support the Kinglake FNC in their bid to help out another local community, this time one ravaged in the recent bushfires, much like Kinglake was 11 years ago on Black Saturday. Buchan, a community in the heart of East Gippsland, was affected by the huge "Tambo-35" fires that were only 3 weeks ago declared "contained." This one-of-a-kind jersey is going to be auctioned off, and is part of a larger fundraiser to help the Buchan Football Netball Club in its effor...ts to rebuild its community. If youre interested in supporting Kinglake as they work to build up Buchan, reach out to the Kinglake FNC on their Facebook page. #GiveBack #community #love #volunteering #tambo35 #australiaonfire

19.01.2022 In case you missed our uncharacteristically overactive tweeting last week, we sent 4 of our team to Orlando, Florida to Microsoft Ignite 2019 to get all of the info and updates that were coming out. Despite how much information overwhelm Im sure the team was feeling, Justin OMeara has written a blog going through his top 5 key takeaways from the 5 days, specifically around #MicrosoftTeams. Featuring sessions from Paul Cannon, Tom Arbuthnot, Jigar Dani, James Skay, Greg Bari...bault, James Corso, and Christian Schacht, have a read of Justins takeaways from the sessions he thought were most relevant for us here at IComm Australia. 19.01.2022 These are some pretty crazy times. But interestingly enough, as a company, we've been helping organisations prepare for exactly this kind of situation, for the last ten years. This is what we do. During these times of self-isolation, working from home, or the ability to work from anywhere, is going to be one of the most important aspects to see our economy weather these turbulent weeks and months ahead. To be able to continue on, almost business as usual, is going to be in...valuable. Two things are going to be the BACKBONE of enabling your teams to work online/remotely. First - mobile devices, such as laptops, or if preferred, tablets. If your teams are still on desktops - this is going to be tough, unless they also have their own machines at home. And, even if your teams have their own desktop PCs they can use at home, they will be useless without our second recommended item - some sort of cloud-based office "management" system - like Microsoft Office 365. Where the apps, documents, files, and EVERYTHING, are stored in the cloud, and users can login and access from ANY device. With those two things, but really, the most important one being the cloud-based office system, information workers can and SHOULD be working from home. It's only a matter of time before we end up like so many of our brothers and sisters across the seas, and locked up in our homes to #FlattenTheCurve. If you aren't yet on this path, you should be, and we can help. Reach out on 1300 881 641, or [email protected].

18.01.2022 Your team is going to spend close to half their waking life in their office/workspace, so why wouldnt you bring them along, get their feedback and understand how that space can better serve their needs? Michael Greaves, builder and designer, discusses how getting the involvement of your team prior to a fitout, to get their input, will better prepare them for the change, and give you essential information that will make everyone happier, including your pocketbook. #EmployeeExperience #EX #PeopleSpaceTech

14.01.2022 As a company that supports organisations to move to the Modern Workplace, we are in a unique position: we are fully capable of working remotely, but sometimes, delivering service means that its not possible to remain off-site. As such, we are in the process of contacting our managed services clients, to advise them of our own pro-active measures to help "flatten the curve" during this time of stress and the coronavirus (COVID-19). Please read our full notice in the blog post attached. If you have any questions, please call your Account Manager, or our Service Delivery Manager. https://www.icomm.com.au//icomms-response-to-coronavirus-/ #FlattenTheCurve #COVID19 #coronavirus2020 #remotework #ModernWorkplace

01.01.2022 Nurturing a workplace for an engaged workforce is quickly becoming a top priority in HR role job descriptions, creating a shift from traditional human resources roles to new "employee experience" roles. Much research has been done to study the effect of employee engagement on profitability and business KPIs, and the results are EXACTLY what Richard Branson has been telling us all along: "if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your clients." Rob Dell sharing his thoughts on traditional HR vs new employee experience roles: https://icomm.vip/32BeUSv #EX #EmployeeExperience #CustomerExperience #HR

01.01.2022 Not properly assessing the needs of a space results in "variations"... which ALWAYS mean an increase in budgets both in the manner of time AND money. Michael Greaves, Builder and Designer, touches on the many different ways that a more holistic approach to change can decrease the friction that people experience when using office spaces.
