19.01.2022 Top 5 Batsman & Bowlers of HURRICANES CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEASON 5 Leading the batting chart is JAGJEET SINGH - Cricket Gurus averaging 128 and still few matches to go. JOBAN JEET SINGH - TPS leading the bowlers chart with 13 wickets followed closely by TARANBIR- KINGS 11. Let's see what happens in next few weeks as we race towards TOP 4 TEAMS.

19.01.2022 Round 8 Finished with a slight indication of top teams as we are more then half way through with KLM Kings on top of the ladder with 12 points followed closely by Hobart Kings on 11 points. The interesting part of the ladder is that four teams are sitting on same points Annapurna Stars / Tassie Dynamites / TPS / Kings 11 with 6 matches remaining for all four teams . The ladder is then followed by Gurkhas Legend with only 2 points behind these four teams but 7 matches to play in next few weeks. Cricket Gurus & Hobart Sri Lanka Lions are set to challenge this ladder as they also have 7 matches remaining each. Upcoming rounds are all going to be nail biters as Hurricanes Champions league set to continue in during holiday breaks.... Watch this space for more updates.

18.01.2022 Dynamics continue to change in Hurricanes Champions league and with completion of round 5 Annapurna Stars have climbed the ladder with 8 points followed by Cricket Gurus on 7 points with no loss so far in any of the rounds. A close race between KLM KINGS , Tasmanian punjabi Brothers - Sports Club , Kings 11 & Tassie Dynamites who are all on 6 points each. However, KLM Kings & Kings 11 have 9 matches remaining as compared 8 for other two. Hobart Kings Cricket Club & Hoba...rt SL Lions are neck to neck with 5 points each. The tide could turn with 8-9 matches remaining for all teams but to make to TOP 4 all teams will have to tread carefully to avoid any losses. Keep in mind the rain could end up deciding the TOP 4 as well !!!! Time will tell but what a great comeback by Gurkhas legend winning two out of three matches. Derwent Scorpions have won both their matches this weekend. What a year its has been not far to go three more weeks for roster to end and semi finalists to be revealed ..

09.01.2022 Every week we declare man of the matches but this week we want to share with you ICSL - MAN OF THE MATCH our umpires. You might love them or hate them but deep down you know they do a great job. We received some great feedback from one of the player from International Raiders -Russell who said this. Hey Raj, Shonit -The umpire we had last week (seems new, don't remember him from past years) was outstanding. No nonsense, did a great job and showed courage when he confronted ...one of our fill-in players for . As importantly, his decision making was excellent. He didn't get influenced by players shouting and carrying on. Akshay - Umpire we had yesterday has been around for a while, last year atleast. He is good fun, umpires in the spirit of the game whilst maintaining professionalism. Yesterday he apologised to one of our players for a decision he made. I can't judge if he made the right or wrong decision (we all know umpiring is a tough job), but I've never seen an umpire do that. Also admirable. 08.01.2022 Points after Round 4 are looking very interesting as few teams are leading the pack , however it still quite early days to call top 4 teams who will enter final series. The equation could change anytime with teams bouncing back even after Christmas break. Maximum points up for grabs are 20 as maximum number of rounds left are only 10. So who will be the top 4 ?

03.01.2022 The most exciting time of Hurricanes Champions League every year is when we enter Semi finals stage and eagerly await which teams will play the semis. Looking at point table with still 5-6 matches remaining it is still a close call to decide top 4 teams. KLM KINGS on 14 points ta top of the ladder maintaining their number 1 position like last year. Followed closely by ANNAPURNA STARS / TPS /KINGS 11 on 12 Points each. Tight race between Hobart Kings /Tassie Dynamites /Crick...et Gurus is on however the only difference is Cricket Gurus have 6 matches remaining as compared to 5 for both others. A big contender Gurkhas Legend with 7 matches remaining can surprise everyone with few big wins. Its a very tight race between top 9 teams at the moment to make it to semi finals.
