This post is designed to make you aware of the long term side effects of going with the cheapest quotes. No Pressure testing and incorrect vacuuming: a lot of companies will not carry out this safety net when it comes to testing your systems pipe work before letting the refrigerant into the lines. A non pressure tight system which would be identified during a pressure test will instead be directly linked to a Vaccum PUMP. This is a way of boiling off moisture in the pipes. MOISTURE IS THE NUMBER ONE ENEMY OF REFRIGERANT. IT WILL CAUSE YOUR COMPRESSOR TO FAIL EITHER MECHANICALLY OR ELECTRICALLY DEPENDENT ON THE AMOUNT OF MOISTURE BETWEEN 1- 8 YEARS FROM INSTALLTION. Manufacturers will not warrant an incorrectly installed or moisture present COMPRESSOR. Then you will need to chase the company who installed it which will usually deny fault. If a pressure test is not conducted then the vacuum only tells us that the size of the leak is smaller than the litres per second of air that the vacuum pump is capable of removing. If your flow rate of your vacuum pump is not being monitored by an expensive Microstat or vacuum gauge then there is a good chance that your installer may be allowing moisture into your system. It is common for a company to correct the gas charge of your system on warranty but lucky for them the damage done to your COMPRESSOR, which is IRREVERSIBLE , has not caused the system to fail. The oil in your COMPRESSOR now containing moisture due to its high hygroscopic characteristics has not removed the moisture either, so you have essentially allowed the company to get away with throwing a bit of gas in and ensuring your COMPRESSOR will be breaking down soon. Many companies I have worked for are dishonest about this factor and will not admit to any non staff member of the damage it has done. At Ideal Climate Solutions we want to ensure your system has it's maximum life expectancy. We pressure test and provide photographic evidence of the starting and finishing pressure attached to your invoice upon request. We also provide a graph of the vacuum having reached its necessary point of 500 microns or less and we perform testing on all drain components and unit operation before we mark your job as complete. Having an air conditioner fail in the middle of summer can be a nightmare to have someone come out and investigate with lead times. That's why we advise to be ahead of the game and get your air conditioner installed, serviced or repaired before the torturous summer days begin. 18.01.2022 First Installation done and a happy customer has been provided the finished quality product he desired. The installation was turned down by previous companies ...due to it's design complexity. The drain from one unit is mounted in the roof space with the sound insulated by a double brick wall. No noise from the indoor water pump can be heard in the bed, the outdoor unit and loungeroom indoor unit both run into a tank pump which have been specially selected for low sound level. The unit is mounted on Stainless steel brackets due to the close proximity of the salt water. The system has been provided with a Blygold Treatment and all corrosion avoidance measures have been taken, system was placed on an overnight pressure test then evacuated to the Australian standard requirement of 500 microns to ensure this system is estimated to have a 15+ year life span.
