05.01.2022 IHG Womens Ministry Wash House Care Packs Day Sat October 12th IHG Womens Ministry had gathered for a time to pack 91 bags of toiletries and womens needs, including childrens activity packs for the WASH (Womens Activity & Self Help) house charity organisation, a non profit group based in Mount Druitt distributing care packs for women who are escaping from domestic violence in need urgent personal hygiene supplies and kids activity packs to alleviate trauma for the chil...dren affected. As most of the the supplies were organised beforehand by Zel Ball, Lisa Rezk, Marian Nabhan, Nicole Daniel and many donations throughout last month - the rest of us ladies were well organised into an packing assembly line on the day! We started with praise led by Naomi Abrahamian and Natalie Bianca Zakhary, a short talk on Leviticus on atonement and how that is fully accomplished on the Cross. (As the Israelites sin confession laid on animals in the past covered and satisfied Gods wrath for a time, this leads up to us today confessing our sin onto the Lamb of God, Jesus horrific slaughter on cross. His resurrection speaks of His Lordship over death and practically for His church, lessened anxiety and restful assurance and confidence in faith in Christ forgiveness and grace). The Women in the Arabic congregation also gathered to have a time of fellowship and food, and with their generous hearts had invited us to join them for lunch and tea together. Thank you very much for inviting us! And thank you for all the IHG women who came to help assemble the care packages. The Wash House are very thankful and the supplies were timely as they had run out of a lot of the supplies. We will be keeping in touch with Wash House organisation in the future. On that note... The next, and final womens event for 2019 will be a combined Christmas lunch and fellowship with our fellow sisters from the Arabic congregation. We look forward to celebrating Christ by His Grace we enter fellowship, encouraging each other to keep walking in the Holy Spirit together!
