22.01.2022 The winds that would literally sweep you off your feet... The waves that roar like there is no tomorrow... The weather that would change every 30 seconds... The light which was F64 at one second and F1.8 at another... The drizzle that would never stop dampening our cameras, lenses and bags... ... A few PhotoNinjas and a Very brave model endured the ordeal; and hunted out a location we had never ventured before; so close to humanity but so far at the same time; on an island of creativity and splashed with colours, moves and glitter. To create some magical art that is just theirs to own and share with the rest of the world. While I was thinking this is the "most difficult" shoot day I have endured, the person who I though found the shoot toughest claimed "this is the best shoot day of my life" What else can be a reward for mentoring such a diverse range of people, in their journey of learning photography at a level they have never experienced before. 03.01.2022 Last two days were really eventful for our small community. 5 workshops over two days. My head is literally giddy after speaking so much but happy at the same time to see so much of information, knowledge and creativity that flew between the participants. The weather was tough on Saturday, but many of us braved it and Universe rewarded us with such an awesome mix of light, that was changing every minute. Tough to handle but provided us with the opportunity to shoot so many d...ifferent types of photos and understanding lighting in many tough situations. Last but not the least, I would love to give a big shout out to Akira Isola-Lileo Rockley, our model for the Beauty Lighting Session on Sunday. She was really really sick, still, on my urging, she drove all the way from Wollongong, did her own makeup and WOW! what a makeup. She then modelled better than any pro and helped us make our day wonderful. I can't help but share this shot of Akira Isola-Lileo Rockley which was actually the first test shot I fired... Slightly overexposed as it was a TEST SHOT indeed, but the impact is wonderful. I love the fact that this shot sits on the golden lines perfectly, being golden itself. We missed Sarah Louise Smith who could not make it being sick herself.
