24.01.2022 This is the advice from SCCSA: This is a rapidly changing situation and further advice will be provided as needed. Should any parents not feel comfortable sending their children to training/ game, then they are also welcome to stay at home after letting their coach or manager know not to expect them.... We encourage all players to take the appropriate precautions: - Players should only use personal water bottles - Do not share towels or other toiletries - Have hand sanitiser readily available and wash hands on a regular basis (30 sec min) - Participants should bring a change of clothes for post game and training. Participants should avoid being in sweaty clothing for long periods - Avoid unnecessary contact (hand shaking, hugging) - Any player that is presenting cold or flu symptoms must not attend training/games and seek further medical advice.

24.01.2022 Immanuel FC regrettably advises that the club will be unable to host soccer games at ILC for the balance of the 2020 season. The decision was a reluctant one and made between the committee and the College. Please continue to check the SCCSA website for game times and locations. Although home games are cancelled, they have been rescheduled to other fields. Thank you to the players, parents, carers, coaches and managers who have been so supportive of the club through a challenging and disruptive season.

23.01.2022 Attention parents and players! If the soccer ball you were issued is failing (ie deflating more than you would normally expect) PLEASE don’t throw it out... please return to the club so we can get them replaced. We pay a lot of money for these each season and expect them to be good quality and to last! Best way to return it is to take it to the shed on a home game OR you can leave it at student services but please message us as soon as you have dropped it (as we don’t want Linda and Sue bombarded with balls). Thank you

10.01.2022 From Tim Wollens, President of SCCSA... Hello SCCSA Families, From the SCCSA, we hope everyone is managing through this unique situation both from a health and financial perspective. Over the last 4 weeks the SCCSA have been preparing for the recommencement of games and training. Last week the SCCSA Executive and Clubs met via video conferencing to discuss preparations. ... Whilst we plan for commencement of games and training, the health and wellbeing of our Soccer Families continues to be our priority. With the ever increasing positive news and information coming from the federal government, the SCCSA’s focus is to get our kids back onto the field playing soccer. Going forward the SCCSA will be assessing the situation weekly. Any commencement of competitions will be subject to the latest medical advice available from state and federal governments. SCCSA hope to recommence games on the 6th June 2020 or sometimes thereafter. In the event of the recommencement of games and training being delayed further into the year. The SCCSA have determined the season needs to be completed by mid Sept 2020, due to summer sports and the use of shared fields not being available for games. This will result in a change to the structure of our regular competition to accommodate for more games each week. Based on the number of games over the remainder of the season, refunds will be calculated accordingly - if a full season cannot be completed. We appreciate everyone’s patience through this time. Understandably we are all very keen to recommence the season as soon as possible. SCCSA will continue to provide regular updates as new information becomes available. Until then stay safe and well. Your Sincerely Tim Wolens

09.01.2022 Morning All .... My time after 5 years on the committee is coming to an official end 31 Oct. But I still have no one to hand the reigns of Treasurer to?! Which makes me really sad that out of 150+ players and almost double that in parents we can't find enough people to fill the roles on our wonderful Committee! There have been some big changes in the Treasurer's role - the school is supporting our Club so much and is now maintaining our 'books' for us - so you don't even need to do that as Treasurer anymore! A bookkeeping background is absolutely NOT required. If you think you might be able to take on this role and would like to know more, just email me at [email protected] ASAP and I can send you more details and we can have a chat . Ainslie

09.01.2022 Coach and Managers .....Sanitisation Packs ready to pick up from Main Admin. Solution and Chux Wipes are coming .... we will organise drop off to your training sessions when ready. LETS GET BACK TRAINING

08.01.2022 A great season from the U13 Swifts! This was a new team in 2020 who came together, with some of the team members playing up an age group. They worked hard in training and in matches and they supported each other throughout the season. From a 7-1 loss in their second game, they regrouped and played first-class soccer on a par with the older, more experienced and larger squads. As a team, they played sportingly and were a credit to ILC FC. Fantastic effort U13 Swifts!

08.01.2022 Put your name down for another great year of soccer with Immanuel FC. Register now! https://sport.immanuel.qld.edu.au/soccer/registration/

04.01.2022 I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our players, Coaches and Managers every success this weekend. Despite significant uncertainty and some difficulty, the SCCSA was able to string together a season. The Association deserves our gratitude for the effort that has been put into making the season the relative success that it has become. This weekend will be the last weekend for season 2020. Some of our teams are still in the mix for a premiership which 12 or 13 w...eeks ago would have appeared a fairly remote prospect. For many of the boys in the Under 17 Viper’s team this will be the last step onto the playing field on behalf of their school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their endeavours both on and off the field. They may not have enjoyed the success that they have enjoyed in previous years however they managed to find a way to enjoy each other’s company, support and a good game of soccer, even when the results sometimes didn’t go their way. For myself and my committee, this is really what it has all been about, providing an opportunity for our young people to enjoy themselves and along the way develop what could be long time friendships and for their family to enjoy their endeavours. Good luck everybody this weekend I hope you have a really good time not only on the field but afterwards reflecting on your season. Regards Rod Madsen Immanuel FC President

01.01.2022 Under 11 Knights last game of the season at Mudjimba resulted in a fantastic result with a 4-1 win! To put that into context, the opposition were running 2nd in the table, had 5 wins & a draw in their last 6 games and beat us 3-0 last time. They can’t wait for next season!!
