24.01.2022 It’s our ILLAWARRA PET FEST at Bulli Showground today plus there’s plenty of market stalls, hot food, live music and FREE @live_reptile_displays at 10:30am & 1:30pm. * *... FREE Behavioural classes will be running throughout the day so make sure you book a spot with @petpraisebehaviour to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited. * * For the kids we have a FREE Jumping castle, kids face painting by the amazing @sammysprinklesfacepainting and @dartball_illawarra. and there’s a sandpit freshly filled with toys to keep them busy while you sit back relax and put your feet up with your beloved pet in our Pet Cafe. * * There will be PETTALKS in the Air-conditioned Bar from 11:30am - 12pm today @k9andcoillawarra k9andcoillawarra will be doing a fabulous mobile dog wash on-site if you would like to get your Pooch pampered Austinmer Veterinary Hospital will be on-site today with an information stall Greyhounds as Pets will have an information booth outside so make sure if your are interested in adoption to enquire with them on-site today * * OTHER PET STALLS today are Friends for Life (Kitten & cat rescue and adoption) @rrruff_dogs accessories, grooming and pet treats. 13.01.2022 WOLLONGONG Dogs Sports Club (WDSC) will be at the ILLAWARRA PET FEST this Australia Day long weekend. * *... Dog agility is a sport where a handler and their dog are given a set amount of time for the handler to direct the dog through an obstacle course. * * Agility was originally modelled on equestrian jumping competitions but the sport has evolved as it has grown internationally. Agility made its debut in 1979; it has since become the most rapidly growing dog sport in England, Western Europe and North America. * * Spectators continue today to get caught up watching the dog and handler’s enthusiasm in their race against the clock as they direct their dogs to jump hurdles, scale ramps, burst through tunnels, traverse a see-saw and weave through a line of poles. * * Discover more about WDSC and let your pooch have fun trialling some of the basic set ups on the day out on the main arena. WDSC will have a small set up due to the weather being hot.
