24.01.2022 Annastacia Palaszczuk MP BREAKING: Here's our back to school plan for Queensland students. Students in Kindy, Prep, Year 1, Year 11 and Year 12 will return to ...school on May 11, while students in Years 2 to 10 will continue remote learning at home. We will review the situation on May 15, with the goal to return the remaining students on May 25 if low COVID-19 transmission rates continue. Children of essential workers and vulnerable children are still able to attend school. A sensible and gradual return is only possible because of Queensland’s success in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Compare our efforts to what has happened in other parts of the world and Queenslanders should feel very proud. Keep up the good work! #coronavirus

19.01.2022 Opening my email this morning I see this lovely message from a client Routines are not just about what needs to be done to get out the door. They are about acknowledging and understanding barriers, identifying non-negotiables and choosing your struggle. Great work mumma ... Today was a success, let’s keep it going

15.01.2022 A great paper that explains why we work the way we do at Illume I am often asked for a "copy" of household rules, routines or reward/consequence system and my answer is always the same: No, this is made to address another's barriers. It won't be right for you. And this paper explains why

We have curated a list of resources onto a Pinterest board which are structured based on the recommendations made by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in their research package titled 'Supporting Individuals with Autism Through Uncertain Times, by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill'. 07.01.2022 On Thursday my eldest child competed in the semi finals of the U16 National Street Skating Championship Rumble on the Reef in Mackay. I have had many messages over the last few days from wonderful clients asking how he went Siddo placed 12th, with a respectable score and blew many people away with his achievements. ... I had to have a chat with him and explain why some people were so vastly impressed with his accomplishments As most teenagers do; he is struggling with finding his identity, and more specifically where autism fits with that. 12th at Nationals is a FANTASTIC achievement disability or no disability, but as a mark of how far he has come thus far on his journey....it is awe inspiring! Thank you @Donny Fraser for your support and rallying Tommy Fynn!! to skate with him And an especially huge thanks to @Leonie Johnson and Aidan Skinner for always be his skate support and All of the boys and girls SK8 M8S especially @dean Cunningham and @Maison darragh
