25.01.2022 Time for some more flashbacks since us Melbournians are now in lockdown 2.0 part 2. On a serious note though, I hope you are all staying safe out there and looking after the ones you love. It sure is a tough time for all of us and who really knows when life will ever get back to some form of normal.... 21.01.2022 #takemeback Tuesday. I'm really missing taking photos of familes. Whether it be as a family photo shoot, or a in home newborn shoot. My kids are sick of me taking photos of them!!! 10.01.2022 Time for some updated family photos? Now is a great time to book in a session. The sun is setting earlier and your evening session will be over by 8pm so it's not a late night. Limited weekends and mid week sessions available in March. Alternatively I do have some openings in April and over the Easter school holidays, mid week and Sunday evenings that will be even earlier as day light saving finishes on the 5th April. 09.01.2022 Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel in regards to us photographers being able to take outdoor family photos without our subjects having to wear a face mask. As to when we will be able to do this, that is still unknown. We are getting an update about the changes on Sunday so I know we are all crossing our fingers for change in all aspects of our lives here in Melbourne. I've taken some of this lockdown time to further my photography education as well and finis...h off my website (which i will be releasing soon). 08.01.2022 Does everyday feel the same for you? This is how we pretty much start our day, or I should say this is how the kids start their day. Playing their @xbox and chatting to their friends, still in their pyjamas. After lunch it's exercise time, a bike ride or walk, then back home to get through the rest of the day. 05.01.2022 Before #rona we lived without fear, without boundaries, doing whatever we wanted. Visiting family and friends and going on adventures. We were lucky enough to head to Merimbula before all the shutdowns, we had organised this trip last year, little did we know it would be our last for awhile. #flashback #imagesbymel

03.01.2022 On top of Isolation and all our current restrictions, last thursday while we we're out for a nice bike ride, my son had a pretty epic fall off his bike and fractured his arm. Luckily it's only.a small fracture and he'll only be in plaster for 3 weeks. He's doing really well and I've realised he is very adaptive and resilient and luckily he can still play his #xbox #isolife #imagesbymel

But I really love it when I ask you to look at each other, something magical happens and you'll end up with beautiful natural moments just like this. 02.01.2022 This morning I contacted all my clients that had booked in photography sessions to let them know that due to the current situation and our government's advice on the suspension of non essetial service's, no photoshoots will be going ahead in the next couple of months. As soon as it is safe to do so, I will reschedule all shoots. Happy to still take enquiries and any no fixed date bookings. I'm making a point to document our time at home so I'll still be posting when I can.... In the meantime I'm still able to run the other side of my business servicing the funeral industry by creating visual memorials for families that are dealing with the loss of a loved one. I'm so grateful for this job as every slideshow I create is a real honour, and it keeps me grounded and grateful, especially during these tough times.
