Macular degeneration is a painless eye disease that starts with wavy lines and blurred vision and sadly can result in blindness if not detected and treated early. ... Heres some tips to looking after your macular heath. Eat Leafy Greens - provide antioxidants lutein. Eat yellow fresh food - zeaxanthin is good for our macular. Eat a colorful variety of fruit and veggies daily - for vitamin E, and beta - carotene. Eat fish - 3 serves of omega 3 per week. No Smoking or passive smoke Wear sunglasses - protection from UV Get regular exercise Keep your blood pressure and cholesterol under control. Have regular eye tests See more

19.01.2022 Looking after our childrens sight while we are all spending more time inside and more time on screens can be tricky. Excessive near work does affect our distance vision. Heres some tips and guidelines from our industry experts on how to best manage screen usage during this time. spend between 1.5-3hrs outside each day. Remember to slip, slop, slap and slide on your sunnies. spend no more than 2hrs on hand held activities outside school hours. 20/20/20 every 20minute...s have a 20 second break and look 20feet (6m) away.
