17.01.2022 I-MED Radiology is pleased to announce that during the month of October, with a $4 donation from every mammogram, we raised $34,000 for breast cancer research. The money will go to fund the work of the research group Breast Cancer Trials, a group of world-leading breast cancer doctors and researchers based in Australia and New Zealand. 12.01.2022 A dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry scan (DEXA), or bone density scan, is a special type of x-ray that measures bone mineral density (BMD). It provides information about bone strength or fragility and the risk of fractures or broken bones. Patients are often referred to I-MED Radiology for a bone density scan to investigate osteoporosis which is a major cause of weak bones.
