Yesterday the state of Victoria released some information about interim applications for State sponsored Nominations (Subclass 491 and 190). ... Nomination applications remain closed for general occupations but in the meantime the state will be inviting a limited amount of applicants to apply for their state nominations. In order to be considered for a nomination applicants must meet all of the following criteria: 1) Have lived in Victoria for the past 6 months, 2) Have been working in Victoria in the health or medical research fields, for at least 6 months, 3) Can show that your job supports Victorias health response to the pandemic, or economic recovery, 4) Have a positive skills assessment in the same occupation as your work, 5) and meet the general requirements for a 190 or 491 visa. Eligible applicants will first need to submit a Registration of Interest for Victorian State Visa Nomination before being able to apply for the State Nomination. Registrations of interest will be accepted from the 8th of September 2020 and will be open until the 21st of September 2020.
