22.01.2022 The theatre of sport!! The inaugural NRTA versus Tweed District Shield Challenge could not have been closer!! 64 young athletes battled it out in a Davis Cup style format. After 16 doubles and 63 singles rubbers, the result hinged on the very last singles match on court. Ewan Chate from Alstonville was down a set, and fought off 6 match points in the second set tiebreak. Before sealing a gutsy 3rd set super tiebreak victory.... And a 9 ties to 7 result for NRTA.
