24.01.2022 What a year.... it's so nice that we are at least able to celebrate a Covid normal Christmas. It is so wonderful to catch up with Family and friends once more. We are really hoping to be able to catch with as many of you as possible in the New Year. Fay is waiting to hear about the hall and will set up a calendar of gatherings and classes as soon as she can. Once that happens we will be in touch. In the mean time it has been wonderful keeping in touch via the Wandong group page. The Covid quilts have been wonderful to see and we can't wait to see them all in person. The first Bring and Brag for the year will prove to be a long one that's for sure. Keep safe, stay well and enjoy this special time of year with all of those you love. Keep on sewing... you will hear from us soon.

23.01.2022 Hello all. Well we are about to really go into serious isolation after today's announcements. So I think there is now no better time, to organise something for us all to enjoy and all become involved in that will rejuvenate our quilting passions. How would you like to join in a Mystery Sew a Long project? It is a Mystery because of how I propose to present it and each of you will be interpreting the instructions in your own way. I am going to give you 2 Themes to choose fro...m. A Nature B Christmas Every Monday evening I will post the directions for each block. The only 2 things you must follow for each block is the size and the Mystery inclusions that you include in that block. For example I may give you a finished block size of 10 1/2 inches ( seam allowances included in sizing), and in that block you have to have something in it starting with the letter 'B'. If your are doing Nature you have a bird. Christmas you may choose a bell. That is if you choose to do applique. You will be making all the choices for construction and method etc. You can hand or machine piece. Hand or machine applique. Paint your blocks. Trace and colour your blocks. Maybe stitcheries/ embroidery. Who knows what will take your fancy. All of the above , all in one quilt when completed! There will be 6 weeks of blocks. The only other thing I cannot help you with is how much fabric is required? I can tell you that the largest block will be a 12" square. I will be putting the instructions out through this WOW site. So if you have friends who you think would like to join in with us, get them to like and request to join this group. I am also going to ask that all who would like to do this project, please respond through this site by commenting ISO Project and your name. I hope this will inspire all to start thinking about commencing something new and different to inspire each other. Imagine the outcomes that we can post on the site for each other to enjoy. Okay all. Let me know your thoughts and pass the word onto your friends to join us. Stay safe and healthy everyone. Happy Piecing Fay. See more

17.01.2022 Join the WOW - What's on at Wandong group to see how the ladies are going - there is already one overachiever

11.01.2022 Sadly due to the new wave of COVID-19 Fay has decided to cancel the upcoming gathering on Friday 17th of July. Your health is much more important to Fay than the business. We hope that the August gathering can go ahead as planned. Watch this space. In the meantime if you are in need of fabric or notions Fay is just an email or a phone call away.

05.01.2022 Note: If you wish to follow what everyone else is doing - Head up to Search Facebook - type in WOW - What's on at Wandong and join the group. Fay will be posting the Sew a long in the WOW group first. Hello everyone. First let me say a huge welcome to all that have joined us over the last few weeks. We have certainly grown. I cannot wait to see the posts from all, to see who is doing what, whilst we endure the Covid 19 pandemic. I have been head down, designing a new quilt,... for those who are choosing to follow my design with their ISO Project blocks. Remember you do not have to do my design, you can create whatever quilt top you wish. In designing this top, I must make a confession. I have changed the block sizes. I originally said that the largest block would be 12 inches square. As you can see by the design photo, I have some very varied sizes. 12 inch square was a bit boring and I wanted to have something that was just "a little bit out there". This quilt centre if you follow my directions to put it together, will be 48" x 63". This does not include borders. This is the quilt centre only. I will issue instructions for piecing the blocks and you will be able to choose whether you just want to have squares between them or you can have just a background fabric, which will leave larger areas if you wish to applique outside your blocks or leave the areas to allow for machine quilting. The quilt is pieced in sections. So stay tuned for tomorrow night. I will be launching this at 8pm with Block 1 size and what surprise inclusions to have in your block. Memo: The 2 Themes to choose from are: a) Nature or b) Christmas Happy Piecing with this ISO Project everyone. Cheers. Stay safe and healthy all. Fay. See more

02.01.2022 In2quilting would like to extend our Warmest Congratulations to Danielle and her partner Leigh on the birth of their twins Marshall Christopher and Adelaide Everleigh on the 28/8. We would also like to congratulate the new grandparents Louise and Chris and of course Aunty Caeli. Many of you may remember Danielle one of Fay's young students from various workshops over the years. She is the older sister of Caeli who still comes from time to time with her mother Louise. We hope that next time Louise and Caeli come into WOW they bring plenty of photos of the babies.

01.01.2022 Just a quick note to let you all know that for the foreseeable future there will be no WOW gatherings. At least until Mitchell Shire allow us to use the hall again. However, in the meantime Fay has set up an In2quilting Sew-Along. Head on over to the WOW Facebook group to learn more about it.
