23.01.2022 Nothing to post unfortunately, as we all know due to Covid19 we are closed.

21.01.2022 We're now looking at doing two pantos on the one bill for January if we can fill all the bits. The pantos are Peter Pan and Hansel & Gretel and we need at least half a dozen youngsters - all ages from littlies to early teens. If they can sing, dance, play an instrument or just enjoy themselves and do some lines we'd like to see them. The pantos will be in January, Sats and Suns ONLY. There are some really good, strong roles, including Hansel & Gretel and Peter Pan and Wendy, to be cast and plenty of avenues for beginners. Ring Carol asap on 5472 8200.

17.01.2022 THE INDEE THEATRE HAS SUSPENDED ALL PLANNED ENTERTAINMENTS FOR 2020, UNTIL THE NATION’S HEALTH ISSUES ARE RESOLVED. The comedy Daisy & Goliath and the season of comedy one-acts won’t, at this stage, go into rehearsal. Planning will still continue for the major Indee production ‘But Here’s How the 50s Really Were’ and hopefully will be ready to be fired up when the crisis concludes.... Our very best wishes to all our patrons and may you come through the times ahead with flying colours. The Indee Committee John Burls Carol Burls Lorna Dale Noelene Rudd Keith Souter

13.01.2022 THE INDEE PROTECTING OUR MOST VALUABLE ASSETS. When your most valuable assets are under threat you do your best to protect them, which is why The Indee committee has taken the step of suspending all planned entertainments for the time being. For many years the theatre policy of presenting full-length comedies featuring the talents of mainly well seasoned, mature-aged actors, has been a great success, from an audience, performance and financial point of view.... Older, hugely talented, Coast actors, who might normally have been seen only once in a blue moon (and possibly not even then) have been onstage regularly in Indee productions and frankly showing how it should be done. Comedy subject matter was specially written for them on topics of today, eg the vagaries of cruising, Bow Wave 1 and Bow Wave 2, of volunteering, The Op-Shop Ladies, of retirement village living, The Crumbletop Caper, of departing this life, In The Wake of Harold Parsley, of voting for candidates in elections, Every Crook and Granny, etc. But now the corona virus epidemic has to be taken into consideration and reportedly the most vulnerable are the mature aged, which means our very valuable acting core and the greater part of our very valuable audiences. For this reason The Indee committee believes it’s time to take a bit of a breather for however long it takes for the virus problem to go away and/or some sort of all clear to be given on people safely gathering in confined spaces. Meanwhile we’ll go on developing (on paper) comedies such as Daisy and Goliath and our big 50s production and we’ll keep you informed of where we’re all at, theatrically. If the south-east Queensland theatre festival circuit decides to go ahead this year we’ll consider our options. Over many, many years of being involved in theatre I’ve noticed that there’s a certain group of people who have absolutely no belief in modern medicine, but on the other hand believe implicitly that a cough can be cured simply by giving it a good workout at a public performance. Imagine what effect that will have on a full house in the current climate. Cheers John Burls (for The indee Committee), Keith Souter, Noelene Rudd, Carol Burls, Lorna Dale

03.01.2022 Please take up this fantastic offer. For an annual fee of a mere $5 you will receive $5 (sometimes more) discount on each performance you attend throughout the year.

01.01.2022 Hansel & Gretel and the Gingerbread Cottage AND The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, from Alice in Wonderland ... Parents, grandparents and the young brigade it’s on its way. The start at The Indee of two delightful family shows on the one program, Hansel & Gretel and the Gingerbread Cottage, plus The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, from Alice in Wonderland. Both classic tales are part of The Indee Theatre’s summer holiday offering, at The School of Arts at Yandina. Hansel & Gretel introduces some wonderful characters, Orca, the Woodchopper’s wife, Zelda, the Gingerbread Witch, Good Queen Beverly, Nice King Rodney and their un-brave knight, Freemont, Jack (of the famous been-stalk), the Old Woman, who lived in a shoe and many more. Laughs and song and a happy ending makes this great fun. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party features Alice Big and Alice Small, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the French Baker, the Dormouse, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit. All are beloved characters from Lewis Carroll’s 1865 masterpiece of storytelling, Alice in Wonderland. The Indee has devised a production that features a well loved children’s entertainment in each half of the show. Two pantomimes for the price of one and great fun makes it a January bargain. Even better, for this summer holiday special, tickets are just $10 children under 12, $15 adults, OR $40 for any four tickets, so prices are definitely family friendly. There’ll be four shows only, 3pm Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th, 2pm Sunday 12th and 11.30am Sunday 19th. Doors open half an hour before each performance. Tickets available at the door or phone 5472 8200 to book. Don’t miss this delightful summer holiday special, on for two weekends only an Indee special. The Yandina School of Arts is at the corner of Farrell and Stevens Streets, Yandina. It’s air-conditioned and it’s relaxed table seating.
