25.01.2022 When you dont have clips to do the job properly just use a polystyrene block. Its amazing what defects you find conducting a pre plaster plumbing inspection.
25.01.2022 Even the simple easy tasks often are overlooked....this deck tight is not fixed down or sealed.
25.01.2022 Thermal imaging showing up what we cant see! Above the bedroom is a suspected leaking balcony. There was no water damage to the ceiling but the plaster had dipped above the window. After a quick flood test of the balcony water could be heard dropping into the ceiling space. Pulled out the thermal camera and we can see all the water pooling in the roof!
24.01.2022 Business as usual for us today! Came across some decent roots intruding into this concrete drain this morning

22.01.2022 Inspecting a fit off for a customer ....this pedestal basin was installed out of level by 30mm
21.01.2022 Pretty but dangerous! A continuous flow hot water unit has been screened off with a timber screen that sits less then 100mm from the flue. A potential fire hazard waiting to happen.

14.01.2022 Poor joins in the sewer found during a pre handover inspection for a new home. Resolving this problem before hand over prevents major blockages after the new owners move in.
14.01.2022 Well worth considering at the start of the building process.

13.01.2022 *** SAFETY ALERT *** Do you have one of the following gas fire logs? Regency i31 supplied by Fireplace Products Australia Pty Ltd... Regency F38 and FG38 supplied by Fireplace Products Australia Pty Ltd branded and supplied by Masport prior to 2006 (excludes LP model) Nectre 2000 (manufactured from 2007) supplied by Glen Dimplex Australia Pty Ltd Real Flame Pyrotech (manufactured from 2012) also supplied by Glen Dimplex Australia Pty Ltd? People with these gas log fires in their homes need to contact the supplier and get them checked by a qualified gasfitter immediately. 12.01.2022 Roots we removed from a stormwater drain today. We were investigating rising damp issues around the apartment complex and found this in the drain.

Plumb quicks installed on a 150mm charged stormwater drain in a basement carpark, one has feropree applied in an attempt to help seal it and the other has pvc glue and silicone applied.
12.01.2022 Im lost for words... this is the most creative downpipe spreader Ive seen
11.01.2022 Inspection of an apartment complex found the water pipes looking more like spaghetti than a quality plumbing job. More faults in these buildings than just the cladding
11.01.2022 A very hungry rat eating its way through the pipe from the mixer tap to the bath outlet.

09.01.2022 No matter how much silicone you apply, you still have to install the downpipe spreader correctly.
09.01.2022 Thermal imaging showing up what we can’t see! Above the bedroom is a suspected leaking balcony. There was no water damage to the ceiling but the plaster had dipped above the window. 09.01.2022 What was the plumber thinking!Maybe a nice water feature for the home owner by a non complaint down pipe spreader. #plumbingcheck#plumbinginspection
08.01.2022 DIY at its best all waste fixtures in the renovated house are plumbed in the same way.
07.01.2022 Good day for a few roof inspections!
06.01.2022 A blockage just waiting to happen. A 27a used to pick up the upstairs toilet in a new house. This was just one of a number of non compliant plumbing works found that can now be rectified before plaster is installed. Having a pre plaster plumbing inspection has saved this customer a lot of trouble in the future due to non compliant plumbing.

05.01.2022 The perfect reason why a box gutter must not reduce in size at its outlet. Blocked with a football and soccer ball
