19.01.2022 I would like to say to a big thank you to Craig from 'Echoes of Arbortree' for this lovely piece of recycled furniture. All the timbers were recycled from an old shed that we demolished last year during a renovation in Deakin. The table top was the old door from the shed, the legs were the old structural purlins and the side rails were old palings which were used to clad the shed. The shed was constructed around the mid 50's, and apparently all the timbers were from the old Y...arralumla mill. Craig donated this to me to gift to my clients, Martyn and Bronwyn (the owners of the old shed), as a way of saying thank you for the recycled timbers. Craig, you are an absolute legend. I would like to thank you for leading the way in turning trash into treasure, and for giving Martyn and Bronwyn a lovely piece of history for their new renovation. 02.01.2022 Some photos of the demolition works for the O'Connor project. We managed to recycle all the existing hardwood studs for firewood, 15 tonne of bricks and concrete for recycling (road base), windows have been off-loaded to a farm near "Delegate", 8m3 of soil delivered to another builder for slab fill, electrical wire for copper recycling and metal roof to Ezy scrap. It all cost more, but I sleep better at night attempting to do better by this lovely place we all call home
