11.01.2022 So happy with the look and quality finish of our Accoya timber cladding post on Rob and Marika beautiful home. So much time and effort has been put in to making the cladding SING . Initially a galvanised steel post was installed and painted. CCA Timber studs were bolted and painted to the steel posts. Then top and bottom of the timber posts were sealed from moisture getting in and then painted again. Then the Accoya cladding cut to length to allow a 5 mm negative detail. Cl...adding ends then sand paper, ends sealed, primer coat to all sides, then 3 coats of Walnut stain to all sides. Cladding then clamped, pinned and stainless steel decking screws counter sunk to finish off. Thank you to Simon from Effectual Painting for all his quality work and helping me install. Simon now to putty all holes and 2 more coats. 05.01.2022 What a view from the top floor of Rob and Marikas beautiful family home. Rob said to me in our very first meeting..."We have got great views and we want to make the most of them" It is with great design and a long thorough process through council that we at Indian Ocean Homes achieved Rob's wishes and have made the most of these incredible views. Rob and Marika are very happy with the results. We have completed the brickwork, textured render, roof structure and roof cover t...o the top floor. All plumbing and electrical service have been run. The double glazed Tilt and Turn European frames from Olympus Windows have been installed. Simon from Effectual Painting has done an incredible job with the top floor external painting...Its all in the detail! Next week the glass is to be installed in the upper floor frames. Ceiling insulation and ceilings to be installed. The balcony screed to be done while we have access with scaffold and hoist. Then scaffold will be dropped and the lowers floors completed. Thank you to all Indian Ocean Homes contractors and suppliers who are still able to work under these very challenging times for all. Occupational Health and Safety is very important and critical to our business and the entire building Industry. 01.01.2022 Rob and Marika's Amazing Three Storey Home! The journey begins! Welcome to Rob and Marika's three storey stunning home build. Indian Ocean Homes is very excited to start Rob and Marika's incredible home. Over the past couple of months we have demolished the original home on this amazing block in East Fremantle. This block has both city and ocean views, with this awesome design making the most of the blocks incredible aspects. After demolition we installed the concrete pool s...hell and then we scaffold the pool out, for safety. We then started the mammoth task of cutting into the block to get the correct levels for the under-croft. Unfortunately we hit limestone cap rock. This took a couple of extra days to rock break and remove the limestone from site. We then completed the remainder of site works. The concrete footing and slab were then installed along with all the necessary service runs. We then completed all the brick work to the under croft area including the brick walls for the concrete cavity fill retaining walls. We then propped these walls and the cavity fill was completed this week. We are now leaving them to cure for a week or so before starting the next stage of site works and the next floor construction.
