20.01.2022 Well, we have just reached the end of our 4 month journey of Accelerate with IBA (@indigenous_business_australia). Thanks to the knowledge, wisdom, training and mentoring from IBA and @thedifferenceincubator we have reached new levels of understanding of our business, it’s potential, why we do what we do and our value as an indigenous business and social enterprise. We are so grateful to be able to step into our business’s future with greater confidence, clearer direction... and stronger purpose. I descend from the Gumbaynggir people in the Grafton NSW region, but was born on Kamilaroi country in Tamworth NSW. Four generations ago, language, dreaming and tradition were lost, with immense emotional and psychological repercussi...ons passed down through the family. In just the past 5 years, my grandfather, mother, sister and I have been on a journey to heal the past, to close the gap of cultural separation, reclaim our own identities and acknowledge our rich heritage. It is my grandfather’s story, my mother’s story, my story, that drives our vision, because when stories are lost, we lose a heck of a lot more than that.
