East Malvern Senior Citizens Bowling Club, located at MECWA Hall, 57 Fisher Street, East Malvern (corner of Silverton Street) is only a small club that struggles to make ends meet, we are not far from South Caulfield and we always need new members of any age, religion or culture. 05.01.2022 Dear Members, I hope you enjoyed the Christmas all- you- can- eat Bistro Lunch at the Templestowe Hotel. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2020. New members of any age are welcome. May you all remain healthy, wealthy and wise, so that you can play indoor carpet bowls, once again on Thursday 6th February 2020 and every Thursday from then onwards. God bless you all. .

02.01.2022 Newsletter No. 23 Dear Members, I would like to welcome all of the new members and I hope everyone has had a really great year so far. Our Christmas lunch will be once again at the Templestowe Hotel on Thursday 21st November 2019. Each member should be at MECWA Hall before 10am. The bus will be leaving after everyone gets on the bus and will be returning from the hotel at about 3.30pm. ... The Stonnington bus only has 18 seats and a space for 1 wheelchair. If there are any more people, who would like to come, Rose will drive her family and David to the venue. The price of meals at the hotel for members is $11. (Non-members $21.95) There is still an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch including, hot soups and entrees, tender roasts with all the trimmings, pizza, pasta, traditional favourites, Asian specials, a selection of fresh salads and the succulent seafood. As well as, the delicious choice of hot and cold desserts together with real dairy ice cream. Our Christmas break up is from Thursday 12th December 2019, until Thursday 6th February 2020. There will be no trophies presented this year, at the request of some members. Don't forget to dress up, so that some photos can be taken and make sure you bring a plate of food and drink. Our bank account balance as at 28th June 2019 was $ 509.80. Thanks to everyone, who has made an effort to come to play bowls, for helping with the carpets, especially Italia, who has organised the weekly afternoon teas, the women, who wash the dishes and for helping in general every week. Ty is still the president, Barbara is still the secretary and James is still the treasurer in 2019, unless anyone wants to object to them. You are welcome to have a vote to change these positions or they will stay the same.
