17.01.2022 Its that time of year again. The dreaded Spring Lash Shed! Have you noticed that youre losing more lashes than normal? Youre being extra careful with your extensions, you havent changed anything about your routine, yet you still seem to be shedding lashes at an alarming rate? Dont panic! Youre just going through the Spring Lash Shed As we transition into the warmer months our bodies go through a period of acclimation to the changes in the weather. Just like animals... shed their coats in the Spring, we also shed the hair on our bodies. As your old lashes fall, new baby lashes are taking their place resulting in rapid rate of new growth. This is why your lashes may also appear shorter during this time. So whats the best thing for your lashes as they shed? During this phase we may use shorter extensions to make your lashes appear more full and to not place any stress on your lashes as they grow. You may also need to come in more frequently for fills. This cycle typically lasts around six weeks and then your lashes will return to normal. Just hold in there and it will be over soon! Xx

17.01.2022 With Christmas rapidly approaching, we have some housekeeping tips to share with you to make your experience with us as seamless as possible during the silly season Please arrive to your booked appointment atleast 5 minutes prior (ten minutes is best for facials and massages so you can enjoy a tea while completing your consultation form) Allow time to find a parking spot! Mudgee has been so busy since June as we all know, however we can’t see it slowing down before Chri...stmas so please allow that extra 10 minutes to find parking either on Church street or Byron place car park, if your booking exceeds 2 hours we recommend parking behind target so you don’t get a parking ticket! If you are running late, please call us, we may be able to still perform your treatment or we may need to reschedule so that it does not impact other clients booked treatments Please give us atleast 24 hours notice of cancellations or rescheduling, this allows clients on our cancellation list to be offered a spot, when someone doesn’t turn up to an appointment with no notice, it usually does not give us enough time to offer that spot to someone who is waiting We ask that you please respect the need to be signed in via the QR code if you are walking in to make an enquiry, an appointment or to purchase product or a gift voucher, this is a government mandated requirement of keeping our business open and we appreciate your assistance with that. For clients who are booked into our electronic appointment system you do not need to be signed in via the QR code however you will be asked to confirm all of your contact details at each appointment in order to comply with these regulations. Please understand your therapist may not be in a position to add extra treatments to your appointment that day, it doesn’t hurt to ask so we can see what we can do however it isn’t always possible especially with how full our books are looking for December already but we will always try our best to accommodate you, if you have booked a series of treatments but wish to shorten or change them, again we respectfully ask for atleast 24 hours notice and not at the time of the treatment We have been extremely busy since re-opening in June however this month is even busier, which is great and we appreciate all the support! 17.01.2022 A home care routine is set by your therapist generally after a facial treatment. In a lot of cases, a client visits a Salon with expectations of walking out with skin concerns corrected and pigmentation or scarring gone. We all know that doesnt happen in only one visit. It takes hard work and a few treatments to achieve significant results, however you can help speed up the results by following your suggested home care routine. When your therapist has finished your faci...al treatment your skin will be improved for sure, and in some cases dramatically. Your therapist will give you a skincare prescription of the products they recommend you purchase for your use at home. The purpose of the skin prescription is to help you get the results you are looking for, not just to sell you products. Your facial treatment is going to be about 40% of the work to correct your issues and your at home routine will do the other 60%. The most basic routine can produce results, if you are using quality skin care. Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise add in an eye cream if anti-ageing is one of your concerns. You need to cleanse at least twice a day (morning and night ideally) same with your moisturiser and eye creams. Exfoliation once to twice a week which of course will depend on your concern, skin type and if its a manual exfoliator (scrub) or a chemical exfoliator (glycolic or lactic acids). Depending on your personal routine i.e. if youre a morning shower or a night time shower gal, putting your Cleanser and Exfoliator in the shower can really help keep on top of your routine and pop your moisturiser and eye cream next to your tooth brush. Once you get more confident in your routine and you are seeing more results, your therapist can recommend masks and serums to really up your game. Applying a mask once a week while you have a hair treatment on works wonders. Adding your serum before your moisturiser will definitely boost your results. Regular facial treatments really do provide results. The Professional strength products we use can make a real impact on specific concerns, and they help your skin feel better for longer

15.01.2022 We get lots of questions about one of our most popular services - Lashes! So we have put together this little post of frequently asked question post for those who are wanting to know a more about them How long do lash extensions last? This depends on your natural lash cycle, as the extension sheds out with it, just like the hair on your head, your lashes go through the full growth cycle including shedding, it is perfectly normal to lose 2-5 lashes every day and notice i...t more due to extension vs natural lash, generally we recommend infills every 2-3 weeks to replace grown out and shed lashes with fresh new ones to keep them looking full. If you get a one off set of lashes you can expect to still have some extensions on at the 4-5 week mark however they will likely have grown out and have become quite sparse and around that point and it usually requires a new full set to be put on. How can I keep my lashes healthy and last longer? Less is more- the less you fiddle, touch with your fingers, pull or tug on the extensions, the longer they last, we also recommend NOT using mascara over extensions and washing them regularly with a specialised lash cleanser (which we gift to you when you get a fullset or can be purchased separately) you also receive a fresh spoolie brush at each lash service to gently brush them 2 x per day Do you infill other salons lashes? This is a bit of a tricky one, sometimes it is simply not possible for us to safely infill over another salons work, each salon uses different techniques, products and lash weights/lengths that are not necessarily what we would use on your lashes, if we encounter lashes that we arent able to infill we recommend a soak off and a new set, sometimes we may even suggest taking a break from extensions all together and using a lash serum and getting a new set once your lashes are healthier. We have just added a service to our online booking that allows you to book a complimentary 15 minute lash consultation to discuss the possibility of extensions or for us to assess your lashes if they are suitable for an infill with us. 15.01.2022 IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE This has been a crazy year for everyone, a roller coaster with Covid-19, the closure of non essential businesss and then re-opening in our brand new premises in June We have hit the ground running since our return and your support has been so so appreciated That being said, it pains us to have to put up a reminder of our cancellation policy. As part of our Covid safe plan, our bookings are spaced out as much as possible to allow appropriate tu...rn around to include the strictest of hygiene measures, meaning that a late cancellation or worse, a non attendance without warning, really puts us in a pickle as generally its too late to try and fill the spot with a client on our cancellation list. A lot of small businesss have already been hit hard with the pandemic, all we ask for is for some notice so we have the opportunity to offer appointments to clients who are eagerly waiting. Our policy is as follows: We require 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment, cancellations or reschedules within this time period will incur a 50% charge of the booked appointment. Non attendance with no notice of a booked appointment will incur a charge of 100% of the booked treatment. If you have not attended an appointment without notice, a 50% deposit is required to book with us again. If you are unwell, generally you know ahead of your appointment and can let us know, as per our covid safe plan we will not be able to provide services to anyone showing cold or flu symptoms. You have all been AMAZING at complying with this which we are so appreciative of! Lastly, but also most importantly, when booking your appointment over the phone, you will be sent a link to confirm your appointment with your card, you can pay however you like on the day and your card is not charged, however it does confirm your booking.
