25.01.2022 Working some night shift at Duchess of Spotswood tonight. Some painted wall graphics and motif. These were painted in Porters Lime Wash for a soft chalky finish.
23.01.2022 I finished up the mural for Eleni’s Kitchen and Bar in Yarraville today. The design takes inspiration from Greek movie posters. This is a Zorba the Greek theme. @eleniskitchenandbar @industrialartsignco #zorbathegreek #mural #yarraville #eleniskitchenandbar #signwriter
22.01.2022 I’m working on some fabricated aluminium light boxes for guess who?... @mykingdomforahorse.adelaide They have been very patient with our Melbourne lockdown delays and border closures etc etc. Thanks Emily and Rachel Just have to make a couple of shipping crates and get them over to S.A.
16.01.2022 I spent this morning down at the Steam Packet Hotel, no I’m not starting my end of year Christmas celebrations early . I’ve been collaborating with photographer Cas Bukor on some large prints of her wonderful Williamstown photos. It was great to be able to make use of traditional sign materials but in a sophisticated way to bring out the best in these images. #casbukor #industrialartsignco #steampackethotel
11.01.2022 I was back handpainting a sign in Yarraville yesterday. The last time I painted one here was a Palcolor one 40 years ago. Yarraville has changed so much so much since then. The clients brief was to make it look like an authentic Greek tavern sign.
10.01.2022 Well the 2020 Art and Industry festival wrapped up yesterday and if you didn't get a chance to catch up with the Welcome to Spotswood mural, song and interviews you can watch it here.
10.01.2022 Today’s project... adding another grey tinted vinyl tree shadow thing to the glazing at some serviced offices. I did some a few years ago and they are still looking good. They are a subtle but very effective way to add interest to bland windows. I think I’ll call these the Fauxrest
09.01.2022 Today’s install for Hobsons Bay City Council and Dean Stewart’s Lost Lands Found. It’s in Logan Reserve Altona Beach. It’s a recreation of the indigenous flora from the area. These signs seem to take forever to get to this point with with all the 2020 Covid issues. I’m happy they are finally up!
