19.01.2022 I can't believe I was once carrying this much weight?? My health & fitness has always been something I have focused on, although sometimes a little more relaxed than usual. So it was difficult to accept early on in my pregnancy I was unable to continue running due to round ligament pain & discomfort and consistency in my resistance training diminished due to fatigue. I managed walks and minimal training. ... By the end of my pregnancy I was carrying 18+kg extra. It was interesting to watch the scales keep trending upwards.. But in no way was I concerned or embarrassed. I was creating life and my wonderful medical team never mentioned any concern and they are the experts. Post-birth my focus was just to eat what I needed and tend to my bundle of joy. Anyone who knows me personally will tell you I am a sucker for hot chips. 12 months had passed before I even bothered getting onto a scale again. When the time come for me to regain my own health & fitness, I quickly linked up with a Clinical Nutritionist who has assisted me in developing programs to reach optimum nutrient value and health It really didn't take long to see changes.. slowly but surely the body fat is less. The best part about working with a CN, I now have different packages to suit my clients and I can't wait to share them all. Part of my pregnancy journey was learning that.. 08.01.2022 Last night was... for want of a nicer word.. a struggle Over a hour to get Baby Boy to sleep.. and by the time he closed his eyes I was exhausted!! Being a Mum is hard. Being a Dad is hard. Working is hard. Life is hard. But what's the point of all the struggles if at some point we don't take a step back and ENJOY LIFE ... So it's time to start prioritising self care and 'ME TIME' with NO GUILT! It can be anything that makes your heart sing.. that puts a smile on your dial.. that when you finish makes you feel like a million bucks..
