25.01.2022 Happy Monday I love the simplicity of a pair of dress pants, tee and sneakers, and the addition of a blazer is an easy way to instantly elevate and pull together an outfit. Blazers would have to be my favourite wardrobe item, and over the seasons I’ve collected a nice selection of styles and colours which can be teamed with so many pieces. It’s the one item I wouldn’t be without.... What’s your favourite wardrobe item?

25.01.2022 A morning meeting with a new client at a beachside cafe called for smart-casual today. There is nothing easier than teaming a blazer with your jeans and a cami for effortless style. If there’s one thing I wouldn’t be without in my wardrobe, it would have to be a blazer without a doubt . What would your non-negotiable wardrobe item be?

25.01.2022 Feeling Spring vibes today, thanks to the gorgeous weather which inspired me to ditch the black for lilac in my outfit this morning. Headed out to visit a styling clients’ wardrobe for a session of decluttering and playing with some fresh outfit options. With the new season just around the corner, now is the ideal time to start preparing some outfit options for the warmer weather. x

25.01.2022 While I was out and about yesterday I popped into prelove.adelaide to take a quick look and ask a few questions about renting a rack to sell a few pieces from my wardrobe which I no longer wear. It was a hive of activity in there, which was great to see, and plenty of great clothes for sale . I am such a sucker for anything sparkly, so this little preloved Cue top came home with me.... even though shopping wasn’t the plan! Now to book that rack and clean out my wardrobe before summer. If you’re doing a wardrobe clean out and have clothing or shoes which you would rather try to sell than donate, maybe this could be an option worth looking at.

25.01.2022 Working in the city the last couple of weeks I’ve seen so much yellow and pink around the stores. Today I felt inspired to create this colour combo from my own wardrobe, so I pulled out a knit I’d bought back in February and added this pink tote from French Connection. Accessories are very handy for creating colour combinations, especially if it’s a colour you wouldn’t normally do in your clothing items. x

24.01.2022 It’s been a big day! After a full-on day of visual merchandising at a suburban shopping centre, coffee at 5.00pm (first for the day) was definitely a good idea. Back again tomorrow morning to dress up a couple more mannequins in some gorgeous Autumn fashion!

22.01.2022 So, what did I do for Melbourne Cup today? I went shoe shopping of course . I decided that sneakers just don’t work that well on a hot day. There are plenty of lovey new slides and sandals around now, and I’ve ended up with a couple of pairs. I’ve gone for neutral colours, these tan slides from seed, which bookend nicely with my hair colour, and a white pair from Wittner Shoes for a fresh colour option. It’s always a good idea to buy colours which work back with your... wardrobe, they are so much easier to team with your outfits. What did you get up to for Melbourne Cup day? x Ps. I think I’ll be shopping for a new foundation next

22.01.2022 Happy Friday! Its only been a short week but I’m definitely ready for the weekend. With a visual merchandising job booked in this morning I needed to wear something comfortable and suited to warm or cool weather. I chose a long sleeve shirt (with rolled sleeves of course) layered over a ribbed tank and teamed it with jeans and sneakers. Super simple and less fuss than wearing a jacket. ... Do you have a long sleeve shirt in your wardrobe? The shirt Im wearing is a recent purchase from H&M

22.01.2022 New style finds!

22.01.2022 Adding some fresh colour into your wardrobe is a great way to give your outfits an instant update. You don’t have to go all out with lots of new pieces, just a few items which you can mix with your neutrals such as black, white, navy, khaki and denim. There are plenty of sorbet colours this season as well as brights. Of course florals , stripes and polka dots are always on trend for Spring too. Happy Spring shopping lovelies! x

21.01.2022 Talking shirt styles...

19.01.2022 Back into the winter woollies today so I’ve added a bit of fun with these cute earrings from @seed. : Gold and pearl accessories are perfect for Spring/Summer. Go big and bold to add a boho vibe to your outfits or small and dainty for more of a classic or preppy style. Something for everyone! ... What’s your favourite earring style? x See more

19.01.2022 Happy Friday! It’s been a busy little week of styling! Meetings and sessions with styling clients, creating and installing a Christmas windows display and keeping up with life has been a bit hectic but most of all ...fun. Seeing plenty of gorgeous new styles and colours coming into stores this week, I’m definitely feeling excited for summer. I’ll be posting some of the latest colours and styles next week, so stay tuned! ... Have a fab weekend all xx

18.01.2022 The past few weeks has definitely been keeping me on the go, especially now that I’m back on my feet and back working with my gorgeous styling clients again. After spending so much time at home over the past six months thanks to Covid and then surgery, I have to admit I found I had fallen into a bit of a hair rut and wasn’t really feeling quite like my usual self. I’d been back for a couple of cuts post lock down and did some diy colouring, but it still felt blah. So, t...oday I booked out some time for a trip to the hairdressers for cut and colour..... I feel like myself again! So it turns out hair is a bit like clothes, it can also have quite an impact on how you feel, especially if the colour or style doesn’t really feel right for you. It all comes back to reflecting your own unique style personality with your overall look. x

18.01.2022 A fun Sunday styling session in the city today working with a client to find some professional looks to re-brand her work style. We put together several looks with some mix and match pieces which can also be integrated with other pieces she has in her wardrobe already. It’s so important to consider fabrics, cuts and styles and also how well your clothing fits. As I had already done a pre-shop prior to our session together today, everything was ready to try on and we had... several outfits nailed in under 3 hours! Such a great way to shop. If you’d like to book in for your own styling experience, I still have a few spots available in November and December. Let’s chat!x

17.01.2022 It was a bit exciting last week to receive a nomination for this years SA Woman Australia awards in the Rise Up category. This has been a challenging year for many people in business for sure, so to be acknowledged for learning to adjust and continue working with my amazing styling clients and follow my passion is just awesome. Thankyou to the beautiful soul who took the time to write these words and for believing in me and my business : "Steph has shown so much resilienc...e over the past six months and has grown her business significantly despite the challenges of Covid-19. She found new ways to reach her audience and build her business when her usual business model wasn't possible. She is" I have decided to put forward my application and will post a link when voting is open . So grateful for this opportunity and recognition

17.01.2022 Have you ever splurged on a wardrobe item and hoped it would be a worthwhile investment? Today I pulled out this vinyl trench which has been living in my wardrobe for well over 10 years now. It was a bit of a spurge at the time when I bought it, but I loved that it was something a little different and decided to go for it. It’s one of those pieces that’s ideal for this transeasonal weather, and being a classic style it’s pretty much timeless. ... Looking at cost per wear, it’s worked out to be a bargain, totally worth the investment. See more

17.01.2022 First day back working face to face today . So nice to be back doing what I love, spending the afternoon with a lovely new client editing her wardrobe. It’s the perfect time to start planning for Spring and decluttering, removing any items which have been sitting in the wardrobe that no longer serve you. We looked at colours, shapes and styles and also identified a few gaps which needed filling. I have now compiled a shopping list for my client to work on at her own pac...e, along with suggestions of what to look for and where to find them. This will definitely make shopping easier, which is exactly what this busy Mum needs! If you’d like a little help to get your wardrobe and outfits sorted, I have a few dates available in September for bookings. I also have my special offer of a 1 hour Zoom consultation for $99 to help you get organised as well as give you tips and style advice. Simply click the learn more button to get in touch. x

15.01.2022 For years I felt uncomfortable having my photo taken. Standing in front of a camera made me instantly feel awkward, posing definitely didn’t come naturally and I’m sure it showed. Of course, I grew up in a different era where mobile phones and selfies were non existent, so it wasn’t an everyday problem to have to deal with back then.... Starting my own business, in the age of technology and social media platforms, I’ve had to learn to overcome my camera shyness, as I quickly found out that when you’re the face of your own business, you need to be seen. I had been following a couple of stylists on Facebook who I really admired , and took note of their photos. Looking back recently on my Infinite FB page, the first few photos I ever took we’re without my face being in them. As I gained my confidence, I was encouraged by some of my peers to show my face on my page, and I am so glad I listened to them. My inner critic has had to learn to get used to being seen. Photos and selfies are not a vanity thing, they are a wonderful way to communicate with others.

14.01.2022 Headed out to do a wardrobe edit at a styling clients home today, so wearing a comfortable outfit was key. I’d found this cape hiding in the back of my wardrobe on the weekend, so I thought I would bring it back into play again. A cape is a great layering piece and also a lighter option for times when a coat or blazer are just a little too much. It was the perfect workwear choice today for sure!

14.01.2022 Happy Thursday! It’s been a busy one today with new client coffee meet ups and doing some running around for a visual merchandising project I’m working on. I’ve teamed my print skirt from seed with a blazer and tee for a different look today. I noticed that there was no colour match up within the print to match up with my blazer, so to tie it all together I added a belt in the same colour instead . Sometimes the small details can make such a difference!

10.01.2022 In the city today doing a pre-shop and some preparation for a shopping session with a client tomorrow. Clearly Rona is having a huge impact on retail stores, as I noticed that Nine West was gone and Dotti were closing their city store too. With many stores waiting on more new season stock to arrive, word is there will be some in early next week....Yay!! Things are going to be different for a while, so being patient and looking at alternatives will make life easier. Local ...boutiques are always a good option. I found that to be the case when looking for a few particular items for one of my clients last week. This is probably a good opportunity to get a little creative in your wardrobe and start re-inventing a few pieces as I did today, when I pulled out a gingham skirt I’ve had for ages and teamed it with a logo tee and sneakers. Have a fab weekend! x See more

10.01.2022 Happy Friday! The past few weeks I’ve been keeping a close eye on what’s coming into stores for Spring, and today I took a trip into @zara to check out their new arrivals. : It was so refreshing to see some exciting new colours and prints, especially the shades of yellows. It looked so pretty hanging next to sorbet colours such as lilac, pink and pistachio. ... I couldn’t resist trying on these check pants, which work back nicely with so many colours. : Yellow is one of those colours that a lot of people tend to shy away from, thinking that it doesn’t suit them. The thing is, that depending on the shade you choose, anyone can wear yellow. Choosing the right yellow that works well with your complexion and colouring is the key. Some yellows are quite warm and others more cool, it’s a matter of holding it up to you and seeing which one works. : If you need a little help with this, you can always book an appointment with me to find out which colours suit you best. x Oh, and if you really aren’t up to wearing yellow in your outfit, a bag or shoes are a fabulous alternative! (Like the one in the photo) Are you a fan of yellow too?

09.01.2022 Sharing a couple of today’s shopping finds. I forgot to mention these were only $20 each

09.01.2022 Happy hump day! Loving this fabulous Spring wearing today, making it ideal for being out and about with a gorgeous shopping client who is visiting from interstate. We hit a couple of boutiques which I had visited earlier this week and tried on the items I had already pre-selected. We smashed it out in less than 2 hours and it was a great success! Nothing like walking in and having outfits all ready selected and ready for trying on. x #personalshopping

09.01.2022 Somebody mentioned to me the other day that they noticed I hadn’t done many photos outside my front door lately. Truth is it’s becoming harder to grab one of my family to take a photo for me these days so Ive resorted to doing a few diy selfies instead. : Headed out, so I’m dressed for today’s crazy cold weather, adding a pop of sunshine with my little yellow bag It’s all about the little things today. Have a fab weekend! x... See more

08.01.2022 Double denim today, wearing a bomber style denim jacket from @zara with wide leg jeans. I spent several hours in the city today preparing for a client shopping session this weekend, and It was nice to see some new season fashion starting to arrive. Can’t wait for Spring!

06.01.2022 Looking through my wardrobe the other day I realised I was lacking in the shorts department. This summer there are so many great styles in lovely fabrics available, especially linen. Tailored, relaxed, Bermuda, or co-ores, there’s something for everyone. Are you looking to update your shorts this summer too? Here a just a few I’ve looked at so far....... What’s your favourite style? Main pic seed Top left to bottom right: Sportsgirl, ZARA, Country Road, Witchery, DECJUBA, Sportscraft, ASOS

06.01.2022 A hugely successful shopping session with Vanessa today, we found so many great pieces to add to her wardrobe. Focusing on staple pieces which can easily be mix and matched to create multiple outfits as well as some gorgeous dresses. We have now also added some lighter colours into what was a predominantly dark wardrobe. The majority of what we purchased today can be worn all year round, so Vanessa is now well set up and can add in a few seasonal pieces when needed.... Such a fun day, thanks Vanessa for being so open to stepping out of your comfort zone a little and trying everything on. Great to have our secret change room in Myer too!

06.01.2022 Happy Friday! It’s definitely been a day for rugging up in our winter coats and woolies I’ve pulled out a coat which I picked up in Target Australia several months ago, which has added some colour to my basics in black outfit. I like to work my outfits in 3 colours, so in this case it’s black, camel and white. It keeps it simple and also looks more put together. I’ve also tied in the colour of my coat to the detail on the sneakers, which just makes it a more considere...d look. Keeping to 3 main colours when putting your outfits together makes for effortless outfit styling! Stay warm and enjoy the weekend x

05.01.2022 Kicking off the week with a little colour and sparkle just for fun! I’ve spent today visiting boutiques and stores doing some pre-shopping and research for a couple of styling clients who I will be shopping with this week. I am definitely noticing that there is a far more limited selection in stores at the moment, it will be a very different start to the new season this year. The upside is that we have some fabulous boutiques in Adelaide who are receiving regular deliveries, so supporting and shopping local is a bonus all round!

04.01.2022 If you love a trend then this is one you may want to jump on now. The muscle tee/tank is back, shoulder pads optional. If you have broader shoulders, you may want to pass on the bulkiness of a shoulder pad, but if you are narrower across the shoulders.... go for it! ... I love that there are both options available . Below are available from: Witchery , ZARA , Stylehaus Boutique , Sportsgirl

04.01.2022 Loving the latest shirt jackets which are trending this season. I found it tricky deciding between these two colours in H&M the other day... both work back well with so many outfits! I’m finding these shirt jacket styles to run on the larger side, so I’ve actually gone down 2 sizes so I didn’t look too swamped by the jacket. Can you guess which colour I finally settled on?

02.01.2022 Loving this look for Spring! Shorts suits are back this season in fabulous colours too. This soft pink is new in Country Road , just add sneakers/sandals/mules or heels and your good to go for pretty much any occasion.

02.01.2022 After our short time in lockdown it was nice to head back out to the shops again today. It felt a little quieter than usual, but with Black Friday happening this week I’m sure it will pick up a bit more. With mask wearing not being mandatory in SA, it was a bit of an unknown whether or not to wear one, but I took mine anyway. Some stores have signs asking you to wear one if you can, which I am totally fine with. I am back on board doing styling sessions this week, so I... feel as long as we keep ourselves and each other safe, we can all get back to some sort of normality . Wearing a jumpsuit from H&M today with my mask from Kalila & NAMOI designs... oh, and a pop of red lipstick for fun

02.01.2022 Same shoes, different outfit ... Working from home today wearing a favourite textured knit from ZARA, along with my jeans and of course, sneakers. This whole outfit is made up of neutral colours, but is lifted by the texture and detail in the knit and the sneakers. No need to add anything else really. Keeping it simple. x

01.01.2022 Happy Tuesday! Back into a week of styling, visiting a gorgeous new styling client today to help her with editing her wardrobe. Having a wardrobe overflowing with clothes, but only wearing the same few items on rotation was the reason for my visit today. This is such a common problem, and often it comes down to just needing to add in a couple of core items to pull everything together and expand on outfit options. Today we identified the gaps in my clients wardrobe, list...ing three key items which would integrate nicely with the existing items and make outfit planning a breeze. We also looked at the styles and cuts of certain pieces, moving on the ones which no longer feel good on and also talked about balance and proportion. Now my client has a shopping plan and will be all set for Spring! Need some help in your wardrobe? Drop me a message if you’d like to have a chat.x

01.01.2022 Day 1 of lockdown and feeling ok. After the chaos of yesterday’s announcement, contacting clients and postponing sessions, along with grabbing a few supplies, I’ve been quite happy to hang out at home and catch up on a few jobs. I’ve started doing a wardrobe cull, which I like to do at the beginning of each season, and taking notes along the way of items which I need to buy to freshen up my wardrobe a bit. I’m loving white for summer this year, so I have started collect...ing basics in this colour along with other pops of colour to create a versatile mix n match wardrobe. Loving this fun floral top from Sportsgirl, it teams brilliantly with white, but can easily be worn with any of the colours in the print. I always find that wearing bright colours lifts my mood... perfect for hanging out at home! Hope you are taking good care of yourself during this time in lockdown, fingers crossed it will stamp out this outbreak and we can get back to a little more normality soon. While I am unable to do personal shopping sessions or in person wardrobe visits during lockdown, I am available for online complimentary style discovery calls (via zoom or phone call) as well as wardrobe refresh sessions via zoom. Direct message or get in touch via my website https://www.infinitestyling.com.au/. Let’s chat!
