23.01.2022 Construction of the $21 million Mango Roads project started today. Local contractor Aldebaran Contracting are delivering the works, which are taking place along Chibnall Road, Mocatto Road (featured), Horsnell Road and Kentish Road in Darwin's rural area. The upgrades, being delivered in partnership with the Northern Territory Government, the Australian Government and Litchfield Council, will not only improve safety for workers, but also improve mango quality for market while increasing local industry productivity by $1 million per year.

In response to your feedback, we are trialling a new design of a deflection bar (also known as a ‘banana bar’) on the Stuart Highway path, between McMillans Road and Tulagi Road, near Pinelands. The trial design will alert cyclists in advance with new features including:... paint and reflective tape advance warning signs and rumble strips line marking. Before you head out on the water, always:... check your lifejackets are in good condition make sure there is a lifejacket for EVERY person on-board, and have correct size and fit for kids make sure your lifejackets are easily accessible in an emergency (not below deck or under your esky) If you’ve got an inflatable lifejacket, make sure it’s serviced and in good condition. Boating inspectors have noticed an increase in inflatable lifejackets remember, servicing your lifejacket is an important requirement for compliance. Rusty gas cylinders, unserviced and poor condition lifejackets won’t help keep you afloat in an emergency. 10.01.2022 Driver Avenue drain pathway repair works Works to replace the pathway behind Driver Avenue will be carried out from Friday 25 September to Monday 12 October. Working hours will be from 8am to 4:30pm on weekdays and 8am to 12pm on the weekend.... There will be an increase in dust and noise from machinery and trucks during this time. All efforts will be made to minimise disruption where possible, including water trucks. During construction a safety fence will be installed and pedestrian access will be detoured via a temporary dirt pathway. Please refer to map for work area.

06.01.2022 NEW NIGHTCLIFF POLICE STATION ROOF INSTALL UNDERWAY Progress on the new Nightcliff Police Station, as part of the John Stokes Redevelopment, is tracking well with the roof installation now underway. The new Police Station has made significant progress since construction started in April 2020, with the below already complete:... remediation earthworks building pad in ground services blockwork. Once the roof is complete, the building fit-out will commence including internal walls and ceilings.
