It was a total blast with 15 other like minded blokes and a couple of legends leading and sweeping Thanks to Lyndon and Jack Heffernan for the trail selection and Martien van der Horst for his logistical talents . 10.01.2022 Finally got to do a quick comparison of these two awesome weapons today and the results were pretty much unexpected but not for the reasons you would have thought. KTM 790 : this bike is the closest thing to a Big Enduro Bike you will find it has all the electronics of the space shuttle there isnt a parameter on this rig you cant alter be it ABS , traction control even your phone integration it has it all and you can dial it in to suit and situation . Suspension is premi...um with a power plant that tear a grin onto your face from ear to ear When you ride it you feel like youre dating a super model or could if you wanted to Tenere 700 : this bike is such a mild mannered machine that when you ride it you could be mistaken for Miss Daisys driver BUT all of a sudden you look at the speedo and wholly F@&k You are motoring and shit is rushing at you at light speed . It doesnt have all the bells and whistles as far as traction setting etc that the Kato has but if youre not looking for a degree in electronics this thing is a hoot ! Myself just a mug adventure rider that likes the occasional skid and sticky Beek into an seldom used track Id pick the T7 but only because of its manners and simplicity Big thanks to Col and the team at T&L Moree for test ride Cheers Macca
