23.01.2022 All Squash SA operations are funded by our bistro The Southern. Currently the road works on South Road are directly in front of our bistro, resulting in a sign...ificant decline in patronage. Squash SA is asking all members to please support our venue during this tough time. Grab a group of mates, and come by for as little or as long as long as you like. Please see below flyer for more information. Please contact Squash SA to book your place. If you cant make it on the night, please show your support by dropping in at another time for a drink or a meal. See more
23.01.2022 Hopefully you are all keeping safe and you and your family are soldiering on. The latest position as at the morning of Wednesday 13/5 is that we are optimistic squash will return to Ingle Farm at some stage in June. Whether you are individually coached by me, a junior as part of the programs we run, a parent with children in the program, pennant players , people that have casual bookings you matter and this is a message for you. The federal government has commissioned the ...Australian Institute of Sport to produce guidelines for the return of sport. State governments and individual venues have their own responsibilities within those guidelines . Squash Australia too have their requirements and guidelines too and our sport works within that framework. Individual venues , centre managers and coaches have their own guidelines as well . The collective of these is intended to bring squash back to all and sundry in a way where we will be able to continue the good ground work we started in a safe and positive manner. Im working behind the scenes on a daily basis both coaching individual players online, working with the state body who are doing their best here in difficult circumstances. Im very confident , given the opportunity we will develop a wonderful and productive venue. At this point I cannot give you answers as to a specific return date to hit a ball individually, when individually coaching on court returns , or when you can book a court, play pennant or the specific date and conditions of juniors returning . What I can say is that return date will not be before June 8 but it will likely be shortly after. The format and conditions that we will adhere too will change . Im not going to speculate at this point as the goalposts are moving but rest assured Ill be keeping you all informed. The guidelines can be accessed under https://ais.gov.au>health-wellbeing or under squash.org.au. I should point out they are very general. Keep safe and well. Ill keep you informed. Michael

20.01.2022 Good day all . Good news . We at Ingle Farm are very close to opening. Ingle Farm squash and Rec centre will re-open from June 9 . All sporting venues must run in accordance with state government guidelines and regulations . In addition , individual centres must operate with a Covid safe plan and documentation displayed . ... For the first few weeks up to school holidays the venue will have limited opening hours and numbers must be monitored. This is the case within the whole venue and within the respective sports. Much like the guidelines are being cautiously lifted at state level, venue restrictions will be lifted back to normality soon . Squash is not classified as a contact sport , contact exists of course but it is not intergral to the game . For that reason , squash will be starting back ahead of many other sports under the Covid safe guidelines which have been approved today. I will be giving much of my time up until the school holidays without cost and the staggered programs will allow lots of individual attention for players . I may also consider a Sunday morning free program on Sunday week 14th ( booking is essential ) . Players will attend in smaller groups and the focus will be fun but I expect those that attend they will develop quickly . Junior players will not be limited to their previous days ( in other words players can attend on multiple days ) and can text me with their plans or email me later this week . Saturday practice will return at stage 3 which will be around late June. The date will be confirmed . When that occurs, players must contact me 24 hours before if they are attending . This is crucial as we must adhere to all the guidelines . I have meetings most of the week but will post late this week with added information Feel free to text or email me with any questions , Ill respond to everyone. Michael Jones 0474146861 [email protected]

17.01.2022 If you havent been one of the many that have already hit a ball , this is to confirm that Ingle Farm squash is open for business . In Australia , in Sth Australia , in the squash community and specifically at Ingle Farm Rec we have been active in ensuring we are Covid safe approved and meeting all the necessary requirements. Juniors returned with impressive numbers and the keenness and enthusiasm was infective . Those that are coming back for the first time this week MUST t...ext or email. Ive emailed parents , spoken to players and if by some chance that hasnt happened in your case please contact me direct . Ill do my best to accomodate you and your child. Tournaments ( both junior and senior ) and pennant competition are on hold for now but already Ive had a number of requests in this regard. Again , we are operating under Covid restrictions so state restrictions play a big part in this . Squash SA are no doubt on the case . Ingle Farm Rec for now itself is operating under restricted hours so check the website should you want to book a court individually . Individual or group coaching sessions are available. Enquire accordingly . See you soon MJ [email protected] 0474146861

13.01.2022 Ingle Farms junior squash program resumes Monday 12th and runs for the term. Sessions run weekdays 4pm-6pm for juniors of all levels. Players can come for the duration of a session or part thereof. Cost for the term is $100 with a $50 fee for any additional child. Sports vouchers are available. ... We operate a pro shop with discounted rackets , eyewear , shoes, shirts and other accessories as well special start up packages for newbies that are popular. We are a not for profit organisation so purchases through us go back into helping the juniors and re-funding the children. In that regard we appreciate all your help. It makes a difference. Players can come 1-2 days a week. We ask you communicate with us once you have chosen your primary day. It matters not to the coaches whether your child is starting in the program or wanting to develop to national junior level or beyond , the program encompasses both. Motor skills , movement , balance , co-ordination, skill development are all taught and players a given a base that helps them grow both in the sport and compliments the other sports they may play. Positive culture , equality , attitude, teamwork and the support and encouragement of others are all non negotiables in our program. It’s been a busy term and a busy break with many of you wanting to train with clinics, individual work and events. We’d like to thank all of you who have supported us through the pandemic. As parents you all have lots on your plate and we appreciate you allowing us to work with your children. It seems important to acknowledge Zoe for her efforts .She has been tireless through this period. The UKs loss is our gain and whether she is developing confidence in a beginner or teaching those with elite aspirations she is in her element. Some of the parents are now seeking her advice wanting to play. We are seeing improvements all around and your feedback about her has been overwhelming. We look forward to the start of 4th term and your involvement. Please text or email any queries you have. Both Zoe and I are on court most days and can chat after 5pm. We would welcome discussing your individual situation. Thanks Michael Jones [email protected] 0474146861 Zoe Shardlow [email protected] 0401848243

05.01.2022 It’s been an action packed few days at Ingle Farm squash and a report seems appropriate. We ran our small internal tournament on Friday with little fuss. There were players who were well versed at local tournament level , some putting the toe in the water in their first tournament ever and others building their experiences. Competing and learning how to do that ,self management on and off court , taking responsibility are all a part of our teaching at our club . If players... are to truly develop , the role parents play here is integral to that development happening . We tend to value achievements a little differently to some others but it’s no coincidence that those developing the most feel free to take ownership the earliest. We encourage that at Ingle Farm The half way mark of the tournament meant game play with a difference followed by a final few matches . Fun was had by all . We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback. All in all a fun night , congratulations to all involved. Saturday practice followed into Sunday practice for some and then our junior clinic Monday . Non stop action for 2 hours wasn’t enough for some with a few parents sending lovely messages . Some very young players responded to teaching movement , drops and backhand work very quickly . To the older players don’t look over your shoulder too much. Zoe was tireless in her efforts . No wonder England squash want her back . On Wednesday we have our 12-19yo clinic . It’s a full day clinic . Numbers are limited . We love including people but please contact us today should you want to be involved. The flyer is provided . Like many clinics camps both Zoe and I have been. Involved with it’s 2 2 hour sessions with lunch in between . The day is meticulously planned and is action packed. Players are worked individually and in groups . Bring a keenness to learn . All levels are welcome though numbers are limited. Bookings are essential . On each of our days we have had walk ins and we will always do our best to accomodate but contact with either Zoe or me the day before is essential . Should you have any enquires please contact by text or call We look forward to making a difference [email protected] [email protected] 0474146861 0401848243
05.01.2022 Squash is an awesome game and many of you are showing you are having fun playing it . On the back of the Ingle Mingle squash tournament , we ran two squash clinics last week . Players have followed up with their own social hits , individual lessons and other newbies are getting involved . In addition Zoe and I worked for 5 hours straight on our day off with just short of 100 children new to squash . It’s been anything but a quiet holiday. As a result of the requests we have... had , we will be running a one off come one come all Thursdays Your Day . From 12 noon Thursday 8th at Ingle Farm for as long as you want to play you can play . Cost is $20 per head with a $5 discount per child ( $40 for 3). Whether you are advanced and wanting to train well or wanting to make steps and get to a higher level you will be challenged. If you are new to the game parents can meet coaches , players can quickly learn if this is for them . Bring a friend . Games , match play , training will be coordinated by Zoe and I for a minimum of 2 hours ( we expect it to go longer ) . We will give extra time to those that are wanting to push themselves . Players who fancy themselves can take on the coaches. Please text the name and age of your child to book on 0401848243. Call if necessary . Payment can be made online For regulars you know the details for others pls contact us. Use name as a reference Michael Jones Zoe Shardlow Ingle Farm squash

03.01.2022 The end of school term has arrived along with the easing of further restrictions . We at Ingle Farm squash have been operating within those restrictions and we are thankful to the local council , Ingle Farm Rec centre and the subsidiarys for their support. 03.01.2022 Firstly , let me thank you for visiting the squash page. This is both an update on the current position and an invitation. My name is Michael Jones and as many of you would be aware , Im a career coach and just prior to Covid took over at Ingle Farm squash. Publicly let me acknowledge the efforts of Grant and Lucas Norman . Later today and in the coming weeks, the government will be announcing the phasing in of sport in Sth Australia and the guidelines that need be foll...owed. Having a lifetime in squash let me applaud squash Sth australia with their steps that are leading the way . For the record , we had no cases at Ingle Farm and the measures we took were both right and necessary. I thank you all for your support and the work of Imperial Measures Distilling for their generosity with sanitiser very early in proceedings both with us and the work they did in the health care industry that was simply exceptional. Let me commend you as parents as well through this period both in how you and your children are handling this unprecedented period. Some of you have been in contact with me either on behalf of your children or directly with questions as well as training thoughts . Hopefully Ive been able to help . Beyond that , Ill be posting on this page regularly both in terms of updates on the current position and in other areas which you might find of interest . Should you want to contact me I welcome it via email [email protected] or text me on 0474146861. If theres anyway I can help Id be happy to. Keep safe . Michael Jones ( MJ) ( from a distance )
02.01.2022 Normally when we update at Ingle Farm squash the news is all good . Certainly there’s lots of good stuff to report on but as many if you would be aware , due to an outbreak of 17 cases in SA, the state government has closed down all gyms and Rec centres within the state from midnight last night. As Ingle Farm squash operates within a Rec centre, that means we are closed ( based on the current decision) till 30/11. Within IF squash we have consistently been operating Covid ...safe and we have and will continue to meet and support all requirements . We have had no cases at all throughout. We thank Imperial Measures Distilling in Thebarton for their support with very effective sanitiser . Our juniors have been consistently growing . Each week we have new additions and the culture and attitude of juniors has across the board been infectious . Zoe has been instrumental in building the base of players with her holistic approach and you are speaking with your feet. I’d like to make special mention to our Saturday morning crew. You too have helped with the juniors and many have improved their own game. With 1 case this morning we are optimistic that this is a temporary halt to proceedings and we will be back for all of December and beyond . Watch this space . Some of you have indicated you will be doing off court work and have asked for guidance . Do not hesitate to contact Zoe or myself on any issue . We are planning , clinics , camps and tournaments over December and into January and we will introduce some unique events. The base is being built for an exciting 2021. Michael Jones [email protected] Zoe Shardlow [email protected]
01.01.2022 It was great having Justin Beard out to take our juniors through a squash specific training circuit. All the kids loved all the new movements and equipment.
01.01.2022 We're Back! That's right, it's time to start up the 2019 junior squash season. We have plenty spots left on most days. Send us a message if you are interested in booking your child into one of our sessions or if you have any questions. No squash experience needed. Ages 7-18.
01.01.2022 Attention Parents and Juniors ( both deserving of capitals) at Ingle Farm. Ingle Farm Juniors program is now back in swing. We have been endorsed by officialdom as operating a Covid safe sport as well as our individual operation being complimented. Sanitiser etc is on display and special I max eyewear has been purchased which is very popular world wide. Enquire if required. We will of course continue with a safety first approach and we thank you for your co-operation and un...derstanding. Sessions are 4-6 pm Tuesday to Friday inclusive . The venue is not open in the current climate either Monday afternoons or Saturdays. The numbers have continued to be good and we have some oldies returning for the first time this term and some newbies starting this week as well Many of you are now coming along multiple days in the week and the cobwebs have been dusted off. Fun will continue to be had by all, regardless of the level of commitment but the opportunity to truly develop will be given to those who are wanting to take the next step. Children will be encouraged to chat if goals become clearer and of course my door is open to any parent/s to discuss at any time. For the parents whose children attended last week , I will assume you are coming on the same day/s unless otherwise advised. For those that are attending the first time this week who havent contacted me please text me re the day you are attending , or call if its easier. A few have enquired about school holiday plans and camps and Ill definitely put together something super fun in the coming weeks. Do not assume your child needs to be playing the world circuit to attend our camps are suited to ALL levels . Watch this space. Enjoy your day MJ 0474146861
