23.01.2022 Pleased to announce our first concert of the year - "Best of British" with guest conductor John Benson! Rehearsals start back tonight, 7:15pm - 9:30pm at Wilkins Public School. We're looking forward to seeing both new and familiar faces and kicking off another excellent year of music making.

21.01.2022 Welcome back to the band for 2019! Here's a selection of new music on the stands for this season's "Best Of British" concert! Save the date: 4pm, Saturday 6th April.

21.01.2022 Bring the family and discover the instruments of the concert band at tomorrow Kids' Proms Concerts. Featuring performances from the band, demos of each instrument and many opportunities for kids to sing, clap and move to the music. 10am - 10:40am at Leichhardt Town Hall. 20.01.2022 Join IWCB for a unique experience next Saturday, 17 November at Leichhardt Town Hall. Back after a popular concert in 2017, the audience will experience a pairing of music & food from five different places. Advance bookings are essential to ensure that you don't miss out on the tasty treats, from Korean dumplings to African milk tarts! Great music will still be available to those who show up at the door - from wind band classics Second Suite in F (Holst) and Armenian Dances Part 1 (Alfred Reed), to a rendition of Toto's Africa.

18.01.2022 Many of you would be aware that prior to our carols performance Wednesday night at Halliday Park, our very brand new youth ensemble premiered their first ever performance together at the same venue with some great exposure! Warming up the audience for us- these students performed so well after only 2 rehearsals together! But the success of the youth bands debut has been due to many people. So I would like to publicly thank all of the people from IWCB who volunteered their tim...e to attend rehearsals and perform with us on the night: Glen, Josh, Milia, Toni, Stephen, Simon Parker, Ryan, Linda, Helen and special guest Sada on French Horn. Id also like to acknowledge the IWCB committee for making this whole event and experience for these kids possible. The parents and students all were extremely grateful and would love for the youth band to become a regular thing next year. 18.01.2022 Our interactive Kids' Proms Concerts are always full of fun for our young audience, their parents and of course the band! These fabulous concerts introduce young children to the instruments of the concert band. With opportunities to clap, march, dance, wriggle and sing along, the band will treat the audience to a number of recognisable tunes and nursery rhymes. 10AM at Leichhardt Town Hall this Saturday. 17.01.2022 Looking forward to our second and final youth ensemble rehearsal this Friday! After a very successful rehearsal last week Im looking forward to working with these talented young students again. They will be performing Wednesday evening 18th Dec at Halliday Park. Come by between 6:15-6:30pm to hear these musicians debut their first ever performance together! Following the youth Ensemble will be the IWCB performing carols with some amazing singers for you all to sing along with. Bound to be a great night for the family with a visit from Santa Claus! 16.01.2022 What a way to finish the year! IWCB had such a fabulous time playing carols last night at Halliday Park, Five Dock. A big thank you to all the band members involved, to the singers Ashleigh and Ben from The Life Of Us Musical, and to Communities for Communities for inviting us and hosting such a fabulous event.

09.01.2022 We are sad to announce that our concert on 4 April has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We'll be postponing our 10th birthday celebrations to later in the year, and look forward to seeing you all at our future concerts once the situation changes.
